First off I have never been here before come with my two year old thinking this place would be like Monkey Joes in Avon or Chuckie Cheese but on steroids. I was wrong. The teenage girl who greeted me was unfriendly sends me to sign waiver which was not easy with a toddler. After that I’m informed of no rules and told no food. What child’s place offers no food or allows none. Whoever runs this place obviously has no children bc the whole point we or maybe it’s just me. But the whole point I take my son to places like this is so he can eat and run around and I can eat! This is one of the only times moms get to eat a hot meal in public not having to threaten their child to remain seated. However, I disgress this place is zero fun. I thought I could go in the slide area with my son and go with him. I wasn’t bc I was not under the age of 14. I weigh 130 pounds I have seen 14 yrs olds bigger than me. It should go off weight. Bc I think I was more disappointed than my son being told I have to stay on the lower level and I can’t go in the ball pit area or down the carnival looking slides with my son. $10.99 for him to play so I could just tell him no the whole time and chase him and keep him from climbing in the awesome tunnel area. $4 for socks so after being told I’m to big to play on levels 2 and up and can’t slide down the slides once. My son escaped to the top level he’s fast I went to get him bc I’m not going to be like wait let me go get one of these grumpy teenage staff members to get my child. Ummmm no I went and got him. A dad and kid were jumping on the trampoline and a staff memeber told the dad he couldn’t jump on the trampoline and saw me and you’re not suppose to be up there. I go I know. At this point I’m like I paid $15 I’m here less than an hour and I have been in trouble twice. Haha. So I decide to get my moneys worth and let my son have fun and I stayed up with him. 5 min later a third girl if you need help locating your lost child our staff will be more than happy to assist you. I said no thank you we were actually leaving we won’t be coming back this place is a huge disappointment. The high school girl smiled smugly ok well thank you and I smiled back you’re welcome. Horrible, horrible staff. I came there today at 4 ish three young brunette girls working the desk all on their phones half the time. Not friendly or sociable. No food which if I knew would’ve been a no go to begin with. And the young skinny brunette who checked me in knowing I had never been and seeing I was with a two year old could’ve at least informed me about the rules and so forth. It wasn’t busy so it wasn’t like she was pressed for time. If I would’ve stood behind the desk holding my phone half adding my job when I was her age I would’ve been fired. PARENTS if you have children under the age of 4 and Older kids would have fun too. But if you have young toddlers and you want to accompany them on slides and jumping in play houses with arcade games and FOOD! Then go to Moneky Joes in Avon don’t waste your time here. I felt like parents were disciplined more for playing with their kids than anything. Not fun at all! Cool concept horrible management, staff and not very kid or...
Read moreOK lots of things. (Mar 2022). Mixed reviews. Pros & cons. Toddler mom review. Pix are of toddler section.
Good for a rainy day, but one negative thing, adults aren't allowed on 2nd level of climbing equipment (which I understand it's weight restricted) but makes it harder for ages 3-5 to go do anything unless experienced climbers. So only if your kiddos are over 5 and bigger would reccmd for the large scale climbing (it's atleast 3 stories) .
They have an under 3 section, which was nice, but alot of the bigger/older aged kids were coming over into that section and being in the way, when the parents are there with their toddlers helping them figure it out and letting them explore. When it's CLEARLY for toddlers and kiddos under 3. This needs to be enforced for safety of toddlers to have free play without being run down by bigger kids and they're parents not watching them.
Not reccmd'd for kids under 1. You'll want them walking. It's very over stimulating for them and alot of things to walk and crawl and climb on. Perfect for little explorers. You don't realize as an adult we're used to that noise and chaos going to a public play place, but their little toddler brains get overwhelmed easily. Keep that in mind.
Toddler section Has a small ball pit and small slides which is perfect for littles. Other fun foam shapes to jump and climb on, and foam blocks to stack and knock down. But was very packed and very loud in there. 1.5hr time limit is perfect before they get overwhelmed. My toddler loved all that section. That was a plus.
They have a coat and shoe storage section area, which the front desk does not tell you or help direct you. Was kinda "figure it out day". There are games and arcade machines, so that was a nice touch.
Con: We found There is only one SMALL trampoline with a weight limit of 120lbs, and only 4 kiddos allowed on it. No adults. So I couldn't take my toddler up there. Then he was sad, bc we have a small toddler trampoline at home, so he knows how to jump and what to do. So if you're looking for a "jump park", this is NOT IT. go to Skyzone in greenwood. It's huge and meant for jumping and tumbling. They also have a soft foam jump pit, but toddlers not allowed either. It's very small, and there's only one opneng to that area, and the bigger kids block it off, and it becomes very crowded after 4 kids there, bc the opening to jump in and out is barely 4ft wide. Unlike other jump places we've been where it's all open like a foam pool. Where multiple ppl can use it.
PRO : This location is more climbing, and crawling , and a big big slide to come down, for ages 5 and UP. IF You have older kiddos, they'll love it.
CON : Toddlers can't go down the big big slide on the big kid section bc no adults are allowed up that high to go down with Them.
So, in the end, Nice for a rainy day for toddler section, but be prepared it's loud and give them an hour to play before they're all done. perfect for after nap rainy day play and you just...
Read moreHad a Birthday party for my 2 year old here. Had never been before, but it seemed like a really fun place for kids. The photos don’t match what the place looks like now. So first of all, no where on the website does it say parents can’t accompany their small children on the play equipment. The whole idea of the birthday party was so she could play on this really fun equipment, but she can’t go do all of it alone. The toddler area is just meh, and small, definitely not worth the price of admission. One of the teens that worked there offered to take my two year old into the larger 4 story play area and help her so she could go on a slide, since I was forbidden even though he was larger than me. Well, I finally agreed since it’s her birthday and the toddler area does not hold a toddlers attention… well, shockingly, as soon as she gets up the stairs he looks at his watch (not even joking) and says “break time” turns around and takes off leaving my small child in there BY HERSELF and scared. I watched him not only leave her in there by herself, he took his socks off and left the play area completely! I can’t even make this stuff up! The other issue is there is no wheel chair accessibility for the upstairs birthday party rooms, their “accomodation” is to set up a table downstairs, away from the party in the middle of the arcade for the disabled person to celebrate alone… because disabled people don’t mind being excluded right? or the disabled person can be carried up the stairs (by you)…. My Vietnam Vet father in law was not impressed by either idea, and frankly no child should be either. Not ok! Seriously, do better...
