Yesterday I had the privilege in experiencing Williams Skate Park. I conversated with many of the locals. Many of whom brought their boards ,while others brought there bikes. All pretty much showed up and showed out.I really appreciate each of them for getting out there and trying to do their best tricks and honestly I really really wanted to get out there with them, but my better judgement said NOPE. I just knew I'd munch it. The park itself was really nice. There's two pavilions with 8 picnic tables, each with bar-b-que tables to go with them .all were easily capable of hosting a small party or a large gathering. scattered among the park aside from the pavilion were at least 10 separate picnic tables, bar-b-que pits included for a nice little get together or a secret rendezvous. this is a really great park playing host not only to a fresh basketball court but also a big body jungle gym. whomever designed this park seemed to have a little bit of everyone in mind. whether day or night one can truly feel safe and comfortable here ,being there are surveillance cameras and lamp post, which during the night light the way along its path to what soon could become a memory embedded to last a lifetime. At the moment there are no restrooms but portions of this park are still under renovation. I'm not sure if the thought of including a set is in the plans but we can only hope. There is a water fountain in case you get thirsty and a few Bridges to cross as you make your way graciously through the park .I really love the scenery in this park.Great for any backdrop. This park is pet friendly, so people please be respectful and remember to clean up after them and yes, there are plenty of trash cans to dispose of there/your waste afterwards. There are strictly no alcoholic beverages on the premises. unless you rent a pavilion and /or purchase a permit. There is strictly no smoking of any kind. The same goes for any glass containers and the wildlife is protected. so please be kind to the animals. now as far as the bowl goes it includes anything from a quarter pipe, half pipe, mini ramp, banked ramp, a ledge, rail ,flat bar and all kinds of other structures and obstacles so you can get your grind on. So all you thrashers and freestylers come show what you got.lovers, travelers, tourists,...families , friends and partners. I recommend "ALL" to this park.To all your Father's I saw spending time with your kids. mad props Homies and much love.. I do want to send a special shout out to rico, Devon, John, 7: 8 and Damian and all the rest of the squad for showing up and I know there's not just one lady queen skater out there?? hope to see more of you out there soon..A great Columbus...
Read moreWilliamson skatepark for myself is a blast from the past. I've been known to " burn it up"so to speak. This park has a lot to offer, from the pavilions to the half pipes. There are two pavilions with four picnic tables each, a grill, and trash receptacles / trash cans. Each area makes a great spot for get-togethers, birthday parties, or secret rendezvous. Then there are two uncovered picnic areas accommodated with one picnic table, one grill, and one trash can for any trash that is accumulated. With scenic viewpoints and waterways it is perfect for the novice or avid outdoor enthusiast. I love the waterways that flow through the park they seem to bring a fresh flow that is uncanny to outdoor enthusiast. The pathways are well lit with light poles that feature cameras so you are well looked after and protected at this park. Now let's talk about the skatepark, featuring two bowls half pipes and a variety of transitions and grinds. This multifaceted skatepark can be for both boarders and BMXs a like. While at Williamson skatepark I had the privilege of meeting a BMX rider named #Devin. Devin is an exceptional Rider on a sweet machine, a 20-inch Machine BMX Company bike. I'll be posting some video footage of Devin with this review. So a big shout out to Devin and his daughter for being awesome sports and allowing me to film. Also I will be posting footage of some of the local skaters playing a game of skate. Shout outs to #John, #Damien, and #Souljaschrist and friends. And I'd like to give you a special shout-out to 7/8 stay solid homie." 7/8 all the way". This is a perfect balance of natural / industrial symmetry, with pathways to waterways basketball courts to skatepark. I highly recommend Williamson skatepark to any locals...
Read moreFantastic skatepark! Concrete is smooth and clean. There's plenty of room and transitions for beginners to experts to enjoy. Two big bowls are on one end and a wide range of transitions are built throughout the park. It's well lit at night and there's plenty of parking - although the parking lot is currently not lit. Skatepark is also right next to a larger park facility so there's plenty to do and check out. Highly...
