We went here tonight for the first time. I ordered a Philly sandwich with fries. I asked for no mushrooms. My daughter ordered the catfish dinner with Mac & cheese and fries. My other daughter got chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and onion rings. My grand daughter got the children's chicken tenders and fries.

Now I got my sandwich & it had mushrooms on it. I called the waitress over and she said "Ohh that was my fault, I forgot to put it on the ticket. Are you allergic?" I responded with "No but I'm not going to eat something I don't like and asked to not have on there." She seemed kinda surprises, walked away and grabbed a plate to take the sandwich.

By this time my daughter had taken a bite put if her catfish. She said it was disgusting. All it tasted like was river water. No seasonings what so ever. We called the waitress back over and she got the manager/owner, I'm not sure but he was the boss. By then I had gotten my "new" sandwich back but now all my green peppers and onions were not even cooked.

So when he came over we explained everything. He was nice and took her meal off but we explained the issues and said we probably would not be back.

I did also use the bathroom while I was there and it felt like I was in a middle schools bathroom. Tons of stupid stuff written across the walls and the sink was super short. The place could use a make over.

We were hoping that it was good but we...

I’m so sad that I have to give this place such a low rating. We stopped to eat here randomly expecting a home cooked country meal and were very disappointed. The food is very over priced for the quality. My boyfriend and I both got chicken fried steak and it was the worst we’ve ever had. It’s very obviously pre-breaded, frozen patties. Absolutely no flavor in any of the food. My green beans were 100% flavorless, it was like eating them out of the can. The mashed potatoes are instant and so low quality that they felt powdery in my mouth. And they serve boxed craft mac n cheese, which is good by itself, so I’m not sure how they also managed to make it taste like nothing?? There was only one server working the entire restaurant, so service was slow. Very obviously understaffed. Maybe their breakfast foods are better, but we won’t be back...

The table that the waitress sat us at was dirty. I overheard the older couple next to us mentioning their table dirty (they were nice enough to not complain). The windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. The filters and ceiling tiles were gross. The lights were dimmed. Their clientele is older folks so all of this is concerning.... I spent $70 ($10 tip) on two meals including dessert. My friend had the rancho steak n eggs. She got food poisoning 4 hours later and we missed our candlelight concert. Overall very bad experience. The hash browns, eggs, toast, and the "waffle thang" was good everything else was bad. Do not go here. There is a reason why the other location closed down.

We've come here a few times and have always enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere. Delicious southern breakfast for a reasonable price? How could you say no! Some of their dishes have large portion sizes, that just means lunch for the next day! They also make sure your coffee is filled, and that you have all the syrup you need for your pancakes! This time, I got the Dixie Dueces, the boyfriend got the country fried steak. We both had a great time, and we will be coming back soon!

If you are looking for that classy, hometown diner feel, this is a great place. The atmosphere is charming, and not too bright. The food is honest and comfortable, with large portions, so paying the $10+ feels fairly worth it (my picture is a country breakfast split between 2 people). Strong coffee, and service that is not too much in your face. All in all, whether I want a place for a nice breakfast or a late night pot of coffee, this is a go-to.
