DO NOT HAVE YOUR DEER PROCESSED HERE!!!!!!!! They do not take proper instructions. Having had deer processed for 30 years at various processors, we have NEVER had issue with stating that we want ham cutlets, tenderized. Imagine our dismay to open our box to find 14 packages of stew meat, and NO ham cutlets. I even called back after dropping off the order to emphasize that we wanted the HAM cutlets packaged in small packages, as there are only two in our home. When I called, we were told sorry, & they might help us out next year. (HA) I called back, was told that they read the order back, I initialed it, too bad. I would understand the read back as "cutlets", & agree, of course. She told me that we did not emphasize "hindquarters", & that she was telling me the backstrap cutlets. Like my I said, should he have emphasized muscle groups? She asked me if I was "distracted" perhaps. Now, I had told my wife they were very crowded that day, Dec 24, I had to wait 45 minutes. I understand that. BUT, to imply that I was in error, to not even consider that SHE might be distracted, just tell me that she would pull the video for me to watch? She continued to defend herself all the way. No possibility of error on her part. None. Her strong defense of her utter "rightness" was VERY off putting to me. No one knows for absolute certain who was right or wrong, so something in the middle would have demonstrated fair customer service. Instead, we got, "too bad". At LEAST meet your customer "in the middle" somehow. We know, after this many years, exactly what we want, and how to state it. ALL hunters do. Oh, and by the way, those "cutlets" I asked to have packaged in small packages? They are packaged in great big packages. So customer service be damned. We have just moved to the area, and were hopeful that we would have a good experience. We did not, and will not recommend them. I am a business owner myself. The customer is not always right, but compromise goes a LONG way in keeping...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI called today and was told āplease holdā without asking, then waited 5 mins, someone came on again to say āplease holdā (as if I wasnāt already), waited another 3 mins, heard some beeping like someone pressing buttons, finally someone came on and I said āhello??ā bc I could hear them! Then he sounded confused and asked if I was Jonathan Something (even tho Iām obviously a woman voice), I said āNo, I just have a question!ā He said āum, okay.ā I asked if they had a product, he said he wasnāt sure. Then he said āwe have it but idk if the store has it.ā ??? I asked what that means, he said āare you trying to call readfieldās or scarmardoā and I said Readfields, he said I had the wrong number. I said this was the number on Google FOR READFIELDS. He gave me another number to call (which I forgot bc I was driving after waiting on hold). I tried to call back, immediately placed on hold again, then hung up on. And now the line has been busy for 5 mins. Super unprofessional and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been going here my whole life as an avid hunter. I am 40 yrs old now and have a picture in front of Readfields with my first buck at 18. Iāve sent countless people here in my lifetime. My kid starting hunting this year and I had some confusion over the electronic license with harvest report vs the paper license and when I brought it up, Readfields just gave the game warden my number without asking for my permission and I got reprimanded over an honest mistake. Luckily, the Game warden is very nice and was able to help me understand how to use either or. My ego is probably bruised more than anything, But I wonāt be coming back anymore. I feel like I got āturned inā by the place I cared so much for and giving my info out without my permission is just something I canāt let go. Great food, great place. Not trying to throw Readfields under the busā¦. That one just stung me a...
