I had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with "Thomas Heneghan" while scrambling to purchase a gift for my daughter and her now husband. My wife originally purchased the item elsewhere and it came incomplete and she was devastated. The interaction started off great, he was helpful and even volunteered his email address to send him my information. Using my work email, I ensured I added my home address in the body of the email as my work address is in the signature. However, when the time came to process payment, he informed me he had already shipped the material prior to me making the payment. At the time, I thought wow, this is really great customer service. I asked that he send me tracking and a receipt. The next day I had to follow up, as neither was sent to me. I received one email with a link to the USPS tracking info and the message stated I'd receive a receipt in a separate email. To this day, I've still not received this receipt.
The tracking link just stated Minneapolis, which is the largest city near my home and I thought maybe USPS was just generalizing. The material was "delivered" while I was away and when I got home, there was no delivery. I checked the tracking and it stated delivered to an address in "Minneapolis". So, I reached out to Tom asking if he could share the address he had the material shipped to, noting it hadn't arrived to my home. His response was somewhat shocking being I didn't accuse him of anything or ask for a refund, just inquired asking "What address did you ship this too? The tracking states Minneapolis and shows it was delivered. I have not received this item and I do not live in Minneapolis so, I’m a little confused"
Thomas' response, "This is nonsense. I sent it to the address you gave me. I will refund you tomorrow and we are done"
When I followed up noting I wasn't accusing him of anything and was just looking for info and help sourcing the item. I later found that he shipped it to my office and I informed him as much letting him know I'd validate it's contents in two days when I was there. His follow up response was no better,
"You should have been clearer. I sent you the tracking"
While I get that business can be frustrating and some days are harder than others, I purchased an expensive trinket from him and was respectful the entire way. There was no reason for his rude responses. Thankfully, I'm not in the market for expensive trinkets any longer and even if I was, I wouldn't return to someone that treats customers like dog crap stuck to the bottom of their shoes anyways... Good luck with your business Thomas Heneghan... I truly hope you wake up and learn to treat your customers with a little more respect as it'll help you maintain your business longer. The customer isn't always right, but responding to simple inquiries that way is rude and a good way to lose future business...
Read moreI walked in this store as I heard they had wool fishing hats on sale. I searched and saw that their hours were open till 4pm and figured I would stop by. I walked in the store at 3:30 and the guy standing behind the counter starts yelling at me that they are closed and to leave. I said your sign says till 4pm!!!! He says what do you want?? I said to look at your wool hats. He told me to hurry. I found some hats and tried them on and bought 4 hats online at amazon cheaper and no hassles. Amazing that in this economy people arent more welcoming for a sale.
Wouldn't Bother ever stopping in there again even if the...
Read moreThis is such a lovely place with amazing things to choose from! The young girl that was cashing me out was very sweet and the gentleman with her was very kind (he even offered to wrap the gifts I purchased saving me from having to)! I have always loved this place as a kid and still do, even if it has been years since I've been there. Yes, things are a bit on the expensive side, but they are local or are imported from Ireland, so there are more than worth it! If I could afford to purchase more from there, I would in a...
