Where do I begin? Being a South Buffalo native, I remember when this place used to be Jacobi’s. While Jacobi’s wasn’t fantastic, at least it wasn’t this. There’s a dining room, but no servers, so we have to order at the counter instead of sitting down and ordering. Speaking of the dining room, the place is disgusting. The place opened at 9 and we got there at 11 and none of the tables were cleaned off, the floor was dirty and there was paint chipping off the wall. There were speakers mounted, but they were playing no music and needed the gentleman who took our order to turn the big TV on (one of the few things in the restaurant that wasn’t the same from Jacobi’s). Also, it was freezing cold in the dining room and they had towers of pizza boxes in the back of the room. If that wasn’t strange enough, they had crushed red pepper in a Coca Cola cup despite having glass containers for other condiments. The bathroom was disgusting, too. The paper towel dispenser hadn’t been filled and their extremely old (probably another Jacobi’s hand-me-down) hand-dryer dried my hands with cold air, adding to the freezing cold temperatures I felt in the dining room. The parking lot also had all kinds of garbage lying around on the ground and their store hours were nowhere to be found on the premises. The food was better than it was when I had it before. Previously, I’d ordered takeout and all the food was dripping in grease, but this time it was improved and was the only good thing to come out of the trip. It was good, but not worth the hassle when every other pizza shop in Buffalo can give better service, a fewer time waiting and better food. This was one of if not the worst dine in experiences I’ve ever had. I felt bad for the gentleman working the counter since they were understaffed, but he also neglected to turn the heat on or at least turn the fan off. Overall, one star might be harsh but this experience was...
Read moreMe and my mother live doors away from imperial Pizza and we have always ordered from there. I'm not a fan of their Pizza but it was convenient. One day me and my mom stopped at Gino and Joe's and ever since then I either drive there or will pay for delivery. Not only is there food great and you get a lot for your money but they don't price gouge like the other place I mentioned. On top of that when you go in they are all super friendly. I can't say enough good things about this pizzeria. I used to go to their store in the main place Mall when I was in high school and I loved their slices so I'm so happy they came to South buffalo. If they ever leave I'd be super upset because nothing around here taste as good or gives the best kind of customer service so desperately lacking now a days. Please don't leave!
PS I just read a negative review that said you have to pour your own drinks. Clearly that sounds like a disgruntled ex worker because you don't have to pour your own drinks they have refrigerators with bottled drinks or they have fountain that they will pour for you. They also don't have half of their building used for storage. Either a disgruntled ex worker or that person has the...
Read moreWe ordered an extra large cheese lovers pizza with a double order of wings.. Half garlic parm half honey mustard. The pizza was real good but the crust was dry and it looked like the ricotta was whipped on top with a spoon. Presentation is important. As far as the wings- the actual wing sauce was on the bottom of the containers so not sure how that happened but we didn't get blue cheese, either not sure if they even give blue cheese with the wings. My daughter paid for it but was not worth the $60. We'll give them another chance in a few months to give them a chance to get a routine going. Food has potential to be great like Main Place. Patiently awaiting the review from the guy who didnt get his chicken fingers he ordered. 😆 Posted a pic of the Cheese Lovers slice that was left...
