Buffalo Catering Co did an amazing job catering my wedding this past weekend at the Botanical Gardens. The staff were so attentive to myself and my groom; making sure we had a drink before we walked down the aisle, making sure they knew our drink preferences for the night, and several times seeking us out wherever we were located in the gardens with a ready-made drink (mixed and also bringing just water) to make sure we were lubricated and hydrated. They also made us 6-8 covered plates of a sampling of all the catered foods and set it at our table for when we finally got to sit down AND they brought us and the wedding party hors d'oeuvres immediately after the ceremony while we were getting ready for photos. I had purchased one of those 7lb cans of luxardo cherries to go with cocktails for the night and of course got cherry juice on my fluffy white dress and one of the bartenders deftly and quickly saved my dress with some club soda too! Everything was beautiful and tasty and there were several compliments on the food.
We already loved Joe's Deli and Buffalo Catering is even lovelier. Highly recommend you let them cater your wedding! Our food amounts were seemingly perfect as far as I can tell (as advised by the caterer based on our attendee numbers) and we did a beautiful grazing menu: a great variety of delicious slider sandwiches, a bruschetta bar, two orders of charcuterie, two orders of cheeses, vegetable and fruit plates, and four types of hot and cold hors d'oeuvres that the caterers brought around on trays with enough for each person to have at least 2 of each. We also had the open bar package with beer, wine and cocktails as well. They handled all the linens for dining tables also and everything was so beautiful. The food at our event was excellent! For the drink package, we were able to customize the drinks we serve since we wanted a focus on some craft/local breweries and they were great at accommodating. We also had several guests with food restrictions (including some challenging combinations) and not only were they amazing at accommodating these guests with alternative plates, we have been told that this food was also amazing. (I think the only thing we can say we were disappointed by is that we didn’t get to try the gluten and dairy free vegetarian curry, since multiple people told us it was amazing).
We went with waited service dining and the catering staff were so wonderful and attentive not only with our guests, but also with us! We were blown away with how great they were at finding us to make sure we actually got hors d’vers, food and drinks that night, especially since without them hunting us down we definitely would not have. Read moreI have not had the food from Buffalo Catering Co. because after seven weeks and at least as many phone calls, I have not once gotten a call back with a price quote. After my initial contact with a guy who was apparently filling in for someone, I was told I would get a quote within 24-48 hours. That did not happen. I called back several times over the following weeks during normal business hours and never got a hold of anyone. There wasn't even a voicemail service to leave a message. Five weeks after that first call, I finally got someone on the phone. There was no record of my original order request, but I was told they would follow up with the person I originally talked to and get back to me. A week later I had still not heard anything. I called back and talked briefly to the owner. I was again told he would see what had happened to the original order and call me back. That was a week ago, and I haven't heard a word. I called again today and had to talk to a third person. I told her that if they really wanted my business, they could call me back, but four hours later I still haven't heard a word.
