Where to start. Upon arrival we were informed that the water park was not open yet and we should have known because it was noted in our reservation confirmation. Nope, all it said was open May 4th, we were there May 19, through the 23rd. And the pool outside the water park was down for maintenance. Soo now what to do with our group of 8??? We were told we could swim in the lake anywhere you could access it. We'll that's anywhere that's it's a natural setting. Note, no swimming allowed at any of the Margarita beach parks. We had a beautiful premium, lake view site #29. BUT there was alot of small peices of balloons left all over on the ground. In our camp area there was a clean restroom, grill area, that never got cleaned the 3 nights we were there, and a area with shuffle board and cornhole which had no equipment until day 2 of our stay. The highly advertized cocktail golf card was broken down our first two nights. When we called the number on night 1 no one answered and no one returned of our voice message. Day 2 after asking around, we were told to call the main number for Landshark restaurant. There was a 24% off sale going on so when we checked in and I asked it we could get that. The desk person said we could have a credit that could only be used for a golf cart. So we got that, good move. Fun way to get around. There were three other couples in our group, when I took them to the office to get their discounts, we received totally different answers each time, from 4 diffrent people. 2nd time they didn't want to give us the discount and was borderline rude but deducted the amount off the bill. Third time, lady was so sweet, she instantly credited the bill. 3 resturants were open. At the Landshark we had great drinks and service. The Game Upon checking in we all received flyers noting a great 20 dollar discount at the Game Changer. Use the QR code to get it. When we were sat at the resturant were told only one coupon per group could be used. We called the phone number, the manager answered and came to our table. She was sweet and said one per couple, which is what we expected. Then our waitress said the manager indicated only if you registered using the QR code on the flyer could we qualify. At this point we have to just laughing it off. Only two in our party could get it to work. While we are there they had this fun music bingo game going on. Winners get 5 bucks. The 5 dollars ended up being a coupon, OK no problem. When the two people that had the 20 dollar discount tried to use their bucks, no go. Only one discount could apply. At this point we are so tired of the whole thing, we don't even stay around to play any of the games they have. We should have just walked out before ordering. Now for the good stuff. We rented a boat for 4 hours. Had a blast. The pool at the Lodge...
Read morewe have stayed a total of 4 times .. we are currently finishing out our 4 th trip. we have had plenty of issues with logging in on there site for waivers buying tickets and even using complimentary tickets . we were booking to come this year thinking the promise of coming soon 2024 a new pool was being added to campground we get here nothing but a dirt pile a whole year later ?!! there is nothing to do for free in the park it’s such a shame the park is never full so many empty spots this campground has so much potential yet no good marketing skills !!! we loved the little beach bar with arcade games two years ago they did all the work to make it just to tear it all down !! the drinks and food prices are ridiculous. and for $900 to camp for a week your water park tickets should be included at least 4 I can see some have huge families .bingo was a nice addition to the game changer . we need activities things to do make things more enjoyable !! biggest complaint there is not enough training everyone has a different rule no one has same rules one place you can use your season pass discount other places you can’t.. even different days with different workers can change the results of benefits! there are to many promo codes that contradict one another.seems like the people who run the front desk don’t have a clue what promos are what!! we love the idea of camping here we want it to be better we love this lake .. I would love for consistency like not coming last year to free tiki hut umbrellas to come this year to $200 a day to rent we received 2nd degree burns at water park with no way to get out of sun . and one mix drink and bucket of beer this year costing over $60 ! just get a plan and stick with it ! don’t promise things for people to plan to come back and be disappointed. I really hope things change we want to come back every year but these situations are making it very hectic with all the unexpected changes.. also if there is an issue like our tickets being redeemed… it take at least an hour to resolve these issues you should not have to take any of your vacation time to resolve an issue...
Read moreWe have gone to Margaritaville for years. We buy or tickets at the gate because our group of over 15 changes until the very last moment. This season, apparently, they went to online ticket sales only. This normally isn't a problem, but the option provided was to use the smartphone to purchase. We explained that financial transactions were unsafe on the phone, and we just wanted to purchase at the gate. They refused and pointed us to a computer terminal to use the website. After creating a user name and password, the website refused to allow us to purchase tickets, which then sent us back to use a third party's phone to purchase our group tickets. At that point, you then have to input the individual names, addresses, birthdays, and emails for each person then to sign waivers. After spending 60 minutes in this episode, the tickets were in incorrect denominations for group sales pricing. Goin back up to the ticket sales kiosk, the person said, "Let them do it to correct the problem. I asked why, after 60 minutes prior, they were unwilling to assist us. I asked for a manager numerous times, and one of the 3 employees called someone, and we overheard them speaking about us, but no manager appeared or came to sort this out. Bottom line, since individuals placed in the ticket and information area were unwilling to assist and comply with our asking for assistance, we chose another vendor for this sort of outing. We were just one of many people who were unable to purchase tickets in person and were frustrated with this process. Not a very promising future success. Choose another place to spend your money and save the $20 parking gate entry and $6 convenience fee per ticket imposed in...
