This weekend has ruined Margaritaville for us. We have visited every weekend since the original opening of land shark bar and grill and carry season passes every year.
We think this will be our last because we already bought the season passes but will no longer support this set up.
1st we reserved 2 dock slips for Sunday and Monday of memorial day weekend. When we arrived there were two 30ft plus boats in our slip. We went around to dock B and docked to talk to the representatives on the dock as the rep via the phone was no help. She advised us to go tell the 30ft boats to get out of our slips and then we can pull in. **IT IS NOTTHE CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBILITY AFTER SPENDING 160$ ON TWO DAYS OF SLIPS. ALSO, ARE YOU TRYING TO START FIGHTS WITHIN THE DOCK COMMUNITY BY NOT HAVING A MANAGER WHO IS COMPETENT ENOUGH TO WALK THE DOCKS AND CHECK TICKETS IN THE MORNING. We were one of 6 boats on B that this happened to that day. All of us sat in the spots we pulled into to resolve our issues. Also, to find out the slips we parked in were free slips because no one reserved them was even more infuriating.
We did not return for Monday and will most likely not be back this year. After changing docks and slips we were next to 3 young gentleman that decide to play music extremely loud with curse words every other word. We really enjoyed this while we had a 5 and a 9 year old with us and other kids on our friends boat with us. Staff and managers walked by with nothing being said. Again, it seems the staff would rather have the boat owners ask other boaters themselves instead of enforcing the rules they put in place.
Lastly: After I buy a 40$ a day slip pass and hold a season pass for water park and attractions, I have to pay $15 per person to get on the island for all of my guests in order to enjoy it as well or use the bathroom. It's getting ridiculous. 15$ slip fee last year to $40 this year and now 15$ a person to get on the water....I'm sorry but Margaritaville isnt worth it and especially how packed the beaches were with foot traffic.
The staff on the dock also were allowing people who did not come by boat or meeting people with boats to roam the docks, therefore your paying 40$ to tie up and have no extra security/boat saftey or have your day ruined by a bad neighbor.
The only good thing about this weekend was Ever and his service with food and drinks. The food was sub par compared to years before, we had tenders, fried pickles, wings and some other snacks that compared to last years taste like cafeteria good. Margaritaville is slipping and losing the quality we used to go there for and enjoyed.
Looks like Twisted oar will be the spot and back to wedding island tie ups or cocktail cove. Pelican Pete's has free slips all day but food is about the same.
We will contact management about refunds for our season passes but as we run them December to Decmeber I doubt anything will happen. Sucks such a good thing has been ruined and turned into...
Read moreThis was probably the worst experience I have had at a restaurant. At first everything was good. The family sat down and the waiter took our drink orders. This is where it began to go down hill. My mother-in-law ordered a wine. It took the waiter 15 minutes to come back and inform her they didnt have anymore. She then ordered something different. It took another 15 minutes just for him to bring it to the table, and it wasn't even what was ordered. She ordered a chardonnay, and he gave her a sangria. These aren't even remotely the same thing. What's worse is he didnt even tell her. She took a sip and nearly spat it across the table. At this point we have been in the restaurant nearly an hour. I could have understood the time if they had been busy. However the restaurant was nearly empty. We finally get the first of the appetizers that was ordered. We try to be patient, but we are on a clock as my mother-in-law rented a boat for the day and it needs to be returned. Mind you we entered the restaurant at 6:30pm. Its 7:20pm by the time the one appetizer makes it to the table. By 7:45 we still haven't seen any main course dish or the other two appetizers. I finally look at my mother-in-law and we decide to get the food to go. Since I drove, I could wait for them to box it and she could take the rest of the family and return the boat. After informing the waiter of the change in plans, everyone heads to the boat. My husband and I stay to wait for the food. 8:20 rolls around and they then inform us, the food is ready, however they dont have any bags for us to use to carry it to our car. I look at the waiter with utter disbelief on my face. To go orders aren't exactly rocket science and your telling me that not only do we not any of the white wines on the menu, but now you expect me and my husband to carry 2 appetizers and 7 meals to the car? Keep in mind it's not like the car is directly infront of the restaurant. The parking lot is 1/4 mile walk from the entrance. At this point I am so disgusted and angry that I stepped outside and let my husband deal with the waiter. When I cool off sufficiently, I step back inside to find thier solution was to put everything in a trash bag. Again I'm thinking, how are they not prepared for this? Every restaurant I have ever been too is prepared for this, but not this one. I will never...
Read moreWe visited the restaurant at the resort yesterday (07.03.2025) and were extremely disappointed. Despite the fact that the restaurant was nearly empty — only the terrace was occupied — the service was incredibly slow. It took about 30 minutes just to take our drink order. My husband and son's food arrived 40 minutes after placing the order, even though the kitchen clearly wasn't under pressure.
As for my meal — it never arrived at all. I left hungry after sitting there for nearly two hours. This is absolutely unacceptable for a resort restaurant, especially when the average check is far above $20 per person — not exactly a budget place where such poor organization might be excused.
To make matters worse, my husband was served shrimp without the rice it was supposed to come with. The only apology from the management was a $3.00 discount. Seriously? $3 off for 40 minutes of waiting for food (not even counting the 30 minutes it took to take the order) — and I never even got my meal?
The manager was completely disengaged. She didn’t visit a single table to check on guests, didn’t ask if food had been served, and didn’t seem to be aware of what was happening in the dining area. It was clear that no one was in control of the situation.
Major concerns also go to the kitchen staff and the chef. How can you have these kinds of delays and mistakes with only a handful of tables? Why are incomplete dishes being served? Where is the quality control and organization?
I came to the resort to relax, enjoy a meal, and spend time by the pool — not to sit around hungry for two hours and then leave to look for food elsewhere. This is not what I paid an entrance fee for. Completely unacceptable experience. I do not...
