Casa Italiana - Italian Cultural Center — Attraction in Burien

It's nice but the hours are ridiculous, especially the Italian library. The Italian retail is overpriced. The cafe is the best thing going for this Cultural Center. Everything else including the Honorary Consulate is that great and has hours that make the center impossible to use. As a cultural center and Honorary Consulate, the location is terrible. I assume the committee who selected it was full of people from Burien and doesn't want to leave Burien. For everything else it's a terrible location. When you find yourself able to get there, it's usually closed.

A Taste of Italy at Casa Italiana - Italian Cultural Center

Our visit to Casa Italiana was a delightful surprise. Initially there for a passport renewal appointment, we were charmed by the welcoming atmosphere that envelops the Italian Cultural Center.

While waiting, we indulged in some delicious coffees and pastries that transported us straight to Italy. The warmth and hospitality of the staff and visitors added to the overall experience, making us feel right at home. Casa Italiana is not just a consulate; it's a cultural gem that offers a slice of Italy in the heart of the city....

We had a great experience. They offer a little cafe with coffee and pastries, some Italian products for purchase and ample seating for visitors. Seems there's a small banquet area in the back with a large kitchen for food service. Plenty of parking, but maybe not if there's a banquet or function. The staff are really friendly and the woman working the counter at the cafe knew all the regulars by name. We went in for consulate services and the consul was very helpful. We'll...
