How can you not love Ben & Jerry's, especially if you got your first cone there decades ago in their old original location in Burlington, Vermont! Sure they've changed over the years, who hasn't, but their ice-cream is still delicious! The store is now on Church Street, for those of us who haven't been in Burlington for a while. I ordered a medium sized ( 2 scoops) in a great waffle cone with chocolate on the rim. I got a scoop of caramel and another of chocolate chunks and it was heavenly! The staff looked like local students and they were efficient and friendly. So I was surprised that when I offered to tip I was told that they don't accept tips. That was a first for me. You can sit indoors or at their outdoor seating area. There are nowadays many small homemade ice-cream sellers in every city and town and I recommend you try them and support them but if you're passing through Burlington give Ben &Jerry's a go!

First time visiting the area of Burlington and we just had to have some Ben & Jerry's ice cream! When we arrived, parking was a bit treacherous, but once we found a space, we headed right over. Now, they were closed when we got there. Closed. But then we discovered that the employees had staged a walk-out for women's reproductive rights, and that just jazzed up my crowd. When they returned, we were treated to some amazing ice cream in chocolate-dipped waffle cones. But not just any ice cream, right? BEN AND FRIGGIN' JERRY'S! Some of the creamiest stuff on Earth! Anyhow, the flavor combinations I chose went down like a fat kid on a scooter! Amazing, authentic stuff. The staff worked with us (large group) very well and we enjoyed it on the outside patio area under umbrellas on a hot July day. Make sure, if you're in Burlington, visit Church St, all the shops, and Ben & Jerry's!

This is definitely a go to ice cream shop if you happen to be visiting Burlington. But, I would not go out of your way for it. The inside has a lot of color and vibrancy. The dining area has fun for all ages. They also sell different Ben and Jerry themed Knick knacks you can pick up as you wait in line to get your ice cream. When it was finally my turn to order at the counter there were sooooo many flavors to choose from, which is where I believe Ben & Jerry’s have found their success but I always judge an ice creamery by their ability to make vanilla. And I must say their vanilla is up there on the list. I wish it was more available for retail. The main reasons I am knocking off two stars from this review is because I ordered my “regular” scoop of vanilla in a waffle cone and was surprised by how little ice cream came in such a large cone. Secondly, the a regular scoop with a waffle cone ended up costing upwards of $7. I may as well have gone an bought a pint from the store.

Can't go wrong with Ben & Jerry's in the heart of Burlington, Vermont! It's just a classic combo! The ice cream is so good! So many flavors to choose from and combos of flavors, types of cones, etc. I personally get overwhelmed really easily in ordering lines (there's always a line here!) and I feel rushed when I get to the counter to order. It isn't clear who I'm supposed to order with - it feels scrambled and confusing. I see some little wooden taste-testers but no one is trying the flavors so I never ask to, either. Though that would be really nice! The pressure from the line behind me forbids me of asking questions and I end up quickly just picking something that feels right in my gut. It is never WRONG, of course, because Ben & Jerry's!😊

I just had an ice cream with my baby brother. Everyone was friendly. Once I started my ice cream I notice a short black hair in my ice cream. At first I was absolutely disgusted, then I told myself mistakes happen. As we are about to use the restroom because ice cream dripped on our hands, we are told that we are standing in Ben & Jerry’s too long. And even though we asked nicely, we are not allowed to use the restroom. I will never be back here, I simply wanted to enjoy my ice cream and wash my hands. Instead I find a hair, am I told I’m not allowed to stay inside that long even though I’m a customer, and the manager gets to decide who can use the bathroom and who can’t. Thank you for that.

Recommended for sure. If you're in the area, it's one of those must do things while around Burlington. Really well run and fun tour. Factory is kind of small so it is pretty quick, but you do get a sample of their featured ice cream of the day. You may or may not like it, but you are always welcome to buy any kind you want outside at their counter which is not cheap but of course is good. Plenty of places to sit. Neat to see the story of the company. Make sure you walk into the back on the property to see the flavor graveyard.
