Leddy is the ultimate recreation destination for us, and it offers far more than we even participate in. Outdoor courts, fields and picnicking with restrooms available at two locations. An indoor hockey facility that is vital to the community and of course the beach that is accessible by stairs and ramp type driveways in three locations. Crews maintain the cleanliness of the grounds and beaches even though MOST visitors are responsible enough to manage their own refuse. Exhilarating views of the Lake and the Adirondacks from the beach with the majestic expanse the open sky above. Unique to all the earth. Did I mention that the large capacity main parking area is the easiest direct access to Burlington's bike way with it's paved road to downtown's waterfront to the south or the Lake Champlain Islands to the north. Incredible resource for this Community and it's visitors in my experience.

Nice beach. It doesn't get too deep, it's got a sand bar and stays shallow for quite a ways. There is ample parking, bathrooms, showers, food you can buy near the building. Its next to a big hockey rink but there is a little path down to the beach so once you get on the beach it's very scenic and nice. I prefer coming here rather than north beach as north beach has a lot of people although north beach is also a bigger beach with playground and lifeguards I prefer the smaller more quaint or private areas. (While this beach is not a hidden secluded beach as there will always be people there swimming on a hot summer day, its definitely smaller and more private than north beach which is right down the road.)

It was very beautiful! It's a place you can go to enjoy more than the water. The trails were perfect for wheels of any kind since the where, like a complete sidewalk! I saw people bike riding and walking, and everyone was so respectful of each other! There was an amazing place for grilling! You would need to get there early for that since I saw only 1 place and it was for large groups. I'm not sure if it was something you had to reserve. But there is plenty of space to bring your own stuff!

We went in the evening and it was not the best experience. It was a narrow beach and didn’t smell that great. The sand looks like it had never combed and there was debris from beach fires all over the sand. The water was murky and although refreshing because it was so hot, it didn’t feel as clean as I would have thought. It was a bit of a walk from the parking lot for my pregnant self pulling a wagon with a toddler in it. We also had so many mosquitos chasing us on that short walk which was awful! I won’t be going again because we aren’t visiting long but if I did I would try the morning to see if the beach was combed and the water less murky. I also didn’t like seeing dogs loose, felt even more dirty. It was free for parking so that was a perk. I didn’t see restrooms so I would try to find those before going down...
