Pre ordered and paid for a "create your own" pizza for dinner with my grandfather. Arrived at the time I specified (I ordered about an hour in advance), and the girl had no idea about my order and asked me if I had proof of my order. I showed it to her, and seemingly puzzled, she walked to the back. She let me know that the order had been canceled bc we asked to have the pepperoni on half of the pizza. They never called to let me know or anything. if my grandfather hadn't been waiting for dinner, I would have walked out, but instead, I just waited for them to make a pizza with pepperoni on the whole thing. They then charged me again even though she couldn't find where my first charge was refunded. I'll have to call my bank on Monday to clear it up. I asked why they couldn't do half and half pizza, and she said bc it gets really confusing on busy nights. There was not one person dining in the restaurant at the time. a call to me would have easily cleared up this issue, but they couldn't be bothered with that.
Edit*(in response to owner) - I would love to see that email from Grubhub that you are talking about because I didn't even order through there. Instead of gaslighting, maybe just apologize for the inconvenience. Also, I am still still waiting for a reply to the email I sent per...
Read moreWe’ve been routine La Boca customers since they opened. We fell in love with one of their earlier pizza creations, and they’ve always been willing to make it for us in the past, even though it left the menu. Until tonight. Tonight we were told this was impossible, even though I can see all of the ingredients needed to make the pizza listed on their current menu. Very disappointed. I will hesitate before ordering again, or recommending to others.
Edit: To clarify, the person we spoke to on Friday night told us "those ingredients are no longer available," and was rude to us when we asked if they were. We were also completely shut down when we asked if we could recreate the pizza, as you are suggesting. It was only after this unpleasant interaction we saw you did, in fact, have all the ingredients on hand. Unfortunately, that first interaction did NOT make us want to call back. I would have gladly given La Boca another chance, but after your response I think I'll pass. Clearly this problem starts from the top down. Perhaps instead of arguing with paying customers, you could instead use that energy to better train your employees....

Ordered pick up off their website and when I got home with the pizza I was beyond unsatisfied with both the quality and amount of toppings for the price paid. I brought the pizza back uneaten asking for a refund and was told that because I ordered through grub hub I needed to file for a refund on the grub hub site and there was absolutely nothing they could do to even attempt to fix the situation. The problem is I ordered through the restaurant's website and dont have a grubhub account so I cant file a refund through grubhub. I told the person at the restaurant this and the response was a shrug and "well dont come back" (I obviously am never planning to). Looking through other reviews this seems to be a common lie/scam they like to pull to keep peoples money any time there is a complaint or problem with an order. I never normally return food but just looking at what they put in the box took my appetite away, to the point I don't think Id be happy to eat it even if they were paying me, not the other way around.
