Delight Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Burlington

Okay let me start by saying the food here is amazing. So fresh and flavorful, always cooked perfectly. My husband and I have ordered from here 3 times so far and it is becoming one of our favorite establishments for take-out.

Tonight, we each ordered a meal and appetizer. I arrived to pick up around 25 minutes later, which is the estimate I was given over the phone. My order wasn’t quite ready yet which was totally fine- its Friday night and they were VERY busy with dine in and take out orders which I was happy to see. When I got home, I noticed they forgot one of the things in my order. My husband and I were bummed out, but my entree was big enough to split, and everything was so delicious and still filling. I debated calling the restaurant for a refund on the missed item, but delayed because I knew how busy they were. And I felt like I should have checked the bag before leaving the restaurant which I didn’t do, so I felt partially responsible for the situation.

Anyways, an hour or so later I get phone call from an unknown number. It’s the restaurant. He said they realized they had forgotten an item and was super apologetic. He asked for my address and I figured they were just going to sent us a gift card or coupon to make up for the missed item. I thought it was really nice that they went through the effort to track down the order and call me. Already, above and beyond. Most restaurants (at least not in my experience) would even bother.

About 20 minutes later, there’s a knock on my door. Y’all, he DELIVERED the missed item to my house (along with an additional appetizer). AND it was hot/fresh - it’s not like he delivered the original/forgotten item, they made it fresh to deliver. He apologized again and felt so bad. Mind you- I wasn’t even that upset to begin with. But dang, that just made me smile. I will support this business again and again. Great people, and...

My husband and I walked in today for lunch after checking out the menu posted online and the great reviews. We were not disappointed.

First impression was that it was very quiet, and there was a flyer up for a lunch special that was crazy low priced and had a great combination of foods.

We were warmly greeted and invited to choose our table. There are a few inside tables and a deck with tables. There are a few game tables as well and a large bar (which is not being used at this time, though you can order beer and wine) I ordered the vegetarian lunch special with Paneer Saag (cheese/tofu in a spinach sauce) and my husband got the meat lunch special with Chicken Tikka Masala. We also had a mango lassi.

We were served a gorgeous tray of food that was as delicious as it looked. The flavors were fresh; some of the best Indian food I've ever tasted. Service was flawless and attentive and the food was made exactly to our requested "heat" preference.

Clearly, the word is not out enough about this amazing restaurant. We are not locals, but if we were, we would be back again and again to try all the tempting dishes and cuisines on the menu. Just across the street, there were people eating sandwiches that probably cost more than our meal, when they could be having a culinary delight a hundred feet away.

I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner. Get there before they realize they are not charging enough for their terrific food. I would have paid twice as much...

Now here is a restaurant that truly lives up to its name - Delight Restaurant & Bar!

Upon entering, a sincere welcoming was offered by our host, along with a choice of comfortable seating. The space is newly refurbished, imparting a friendly vibe and appears immaculate throughout. Tasteful guitar background music complemented the wonderfully soothing aromas brought forth from the kitchen, where the masalas (spice blends) that flavor the diverse culinary selections are all hand ground from numerous ingredients and lightly toasted by the chefs - no prepackaged flavorings here!

Many small plate and soup offerings are tasty options among the vegetarian, seafood, chicken, lamb and goat entrés. We ordered numerous dishes to enjoy with the intention of taking home plenty of leftovers for easy and delectable future meals.

There was no 'sameness' to any of the flavor profiles. Each dish was unique unto itself and the food overall was far and away the best we've ever had of this regional style. Even the naan was exceptional - light & flaky, not oily & dense - the perfect soft and flavorful complement to the various curries and soup.

These chefs are obviously masters of their trade and the table service was ideally timed and cordial. What a joy to be able to proffer this well deserved review! You will truly be missing out if you do not partake in the pleasure of dining at Delight Restaurant & Bar.
