Went to a barber this morning got a cut and jacked up my hair.... I called these guy up here at uptown barber studios and asked if they could fix my hair. They of coarse said yes and said they’re the best in town (I didn’t really believe them at first) so I said ok I’ll be up there in a few minutes. Walked in and this man walked up and said are you the guy that called in? I said yes sir, he’s like yea they did jack your hair up didn’t they (in a laughing/joking matter as we both kept laughing and talking about it) he said come on I’ll get you fixed up. He introduced himself, talked a bit about how long he’s been doing it and all. We talked about everything and he just made me feel real welcomed and like we’ve known each other for years. He again told me that they’re the best in town. He got done he said alright I think you’re all fixed up (gave me a mirror and asked how I like it) I said oh yes sir you did awesome, I like it) well he said hangon... he cut a little more (I guess he saw something he didn’t quite like and wanted to fix it). Read moreLet's start by saying that this shop overall is a fantastic Barbershop. It is locally owned and most of the guys have had their chairs for many years. I have been going there for about 5 years and have been pleased for the most part. I will follow that with saying DO NOT USE TRAVIS COTTON. Not because he's not a good barber shop or does not do a great job on a beard trim when he feels like it or is available. I have used him in the past and had to stop because he canceled on me more than three times without notice. Today I had an appointment at 9:30 prior to a wedding this afternoon. I scheduled this appointment one week in advance. I was there 15 minutes early and was told that he was not coming in today. This is the fourth time he has either canceled or no showed on an appointment I have set. Honestly I can't take blame in the fact that I should have learned my lesson but I was giving him the benefit of the doubt .I will be back to Uptown Barbershop but I will not be using...
Read moreYour sign outside says "walk-ins available". I walk in, and two of your barbers proceed to tell me how "booked" you are, and how you had to already "turn away two people". I don't care how "booked" you are (nor what you think your reputation with folks may be), you never flex your ego with new potential customers. As a result, you've lost one, as well as ruined your reputation within 2 minutes. I'm 100% confident they could have found somebody to get me done and out the way in 10-15 min if they tried but their horrible attitude ruined that chance for good.
Advising other travelers to the area to avoid this place as much as possible. I will be escalating this complaint to the BBB as well as soon as possible so that the word is rapidly spread on how they mistreat...
