This is the most pitiful library in all my 59 years I have ever seen! A public library is normally a place where children, and adults are able to FREELY utilize books, reference materials such as internet, and various papers are available to relax, compile information to write credibly researched papers for, elementary, middle school, high school and college requirements. The Butler public library is NOT FREE!!! There is a $5 charge to obtain a handmade and laminated card to use the LIMITED supply of books, and limited reference materials. There is also a 25 cent charge per half hour to use the LIMITED number of computers to do research!!!! But, the Wi-Fi is FREE!!! Sadly, there are a LARGE number of disabled, elderly and economically disadvantaged in the population in Butler, Missouri!!! So, in conclusion it looks EXACTLY like what it is a barely concealed attempt to keep the population of Butler, Missouri who live in poverty or barely above poverty IGNORANT, by precluding the use of a FREE public library to educate themselves, so that they are able to pull themselves out of poverty and catapult outside of ECONOMICALLY DEPRIVED Butler, Missouri!!! ...
