I'm giving one star, because I have great memories of this bakery when it was owned by the Koehn's family. I'm giving another star, because the delicious and traditional family recipes remain the same. However, three stars have been taken away for poor customer service under new ownership. I now live in Springfield, but have visited a few times when I visit our family. I recently visited and they charged me over $14 for 4 regular glazed donuts and 4 donut knots. The lady that helped us knew nothing about the products and prices. She was grumpy and didn't really seem to want our business. This is sad, because I spent much of my teenage life in Butler, and enjoyed the handcrafted pastries that were made out of love for the community. This bakery, under new management, is lacking community love. My son said that perhaps I shouldn't have said we were from Springfield, as it seems we may have been given the out-of-town tax... who knows! I will probably continue to purchase donuts when I go to visit for nostalgia, but I also hope they work a little harder at serving the customer and community in a way that is true to the original Koehn's name. Not to mention, charge people the correct prices... and if those were the correct prices, perhaps consider dropping them a bit? Perhaps the owners are fine and they just need to better train their...
Read moreKoehn Bakery the people that wk there r sweet and helpful, an I'm sure work hard an long hours ,I dont eat there much ,because it can get expensive, even just one person , in 2022 I purchased 3 pies and spent $80 for Xmas when I opened them up they were half full and the pecan pie was not desired and the other 2 were also a disapointment ,so I realize I need to make my own , now Koehn has a billboard inbthe highway it says like Heaven on earth ,well that is far from the truth of it was like heaven the food would be free ,or even to bless God his children the prices would be lowered so even the least of these could eat there ,I have seen people that really cant afford to eat there have a craving for there food because it is mostly good and it becomes a distraction from their budget and they ,find there money is not going as far as it should, so I suggest if Koehn wants to be called like as heaven on earth they need to think of the people and lower their prices , an then they could add on to their building and hire more people and make a whole lot more money ,because then they would see more people who dont eat there come in also people from all over the state come eat because it would be like heaven on...
Read moreI would normally give this place 5 stars because their biscuits and gravy are to die for but, this morning i went in and asked for 2 b&g orders to go and a blueberry muffin. dude working puts our biscuits in bags instead of a togo box to stay warm, and i asked if he would put them in a togo box because we were going to be eating outside and he just shoved a box in another bag and kept the biscuits in a different bag, and then only gave us one gravy in a cup where the lid wouldn’t even fit on top and it spilled everywhere, and i sat there cleaning gravy in front of everyone standing in line because i didn’t want that in my car, he sees me cleaning his mess and doesn’t even care, after i had asked multiple times for him to put our stuff in boxes so they would stay warm. DONT GET ME STARTED WITH MY MUFFIN EITHER they are normally amazing, but i took a bite out of it and dough literally spilled out. it’s not cooked at all! i’m pregnant and i feel so sick after just one bite of my uncooked muffin and very cold, biscuits and gravy. not impressed😡. he could of at least asked to fix his mistakes but just watched me clean up everything he messed up. good place...
