Wild Orchid Salon — Attraction in Caldwell

I recently moved to the area and was in desperate need of a dye and cut after having my son. Based on positive reviews I decided to give this salon a chance. What a disappointment. After waiting over 30 minutes past my appointment time, which I had to arrange my schedule and childcare to attend, I left without getting the service.

My appointment was booked for noon with Marlaina. I arrived at the salon a few minutes early, and waited 20 minutes before being brought to the back by someone and having a cape put on. The two stylists I was sat between didn’t even acknowledge me. I had no clue who was even doing my hair because I had never been there before and no one introduced themselves. After sitting in the chair awkwardly for about 10 minutes without any further interaction with staff, I removed the cape myself and went back up the receptionist to inquire how much longer it would be. 01/23 7:37 pm & 7:42 pm. I called as a first time customer to make an appointment. As I gathered preliminary information, I realized that the receptionist was a bit impatient and rude. As someone with anxiety, it did not make me feel good so I politely excused myself and promised to call back in a few minutes. I gave her a few minutes to calm down hoping whatever it is, will pass. I call after a few minutes and her tone was even worse. This time it felt like she was yelling at me as she took my information. I said nevermind, its fine, and hung up. I dont plan to call again. I wanted to like this place and had browsed their website for several hours but unfortunately this happened. I dont understand why. I am a paying (potential) customer. Not a freeloader. Why was I treated like this? You dont treat freeloaders like this. You are charging a good amount for what? To scold people and treat them like garbage? Why cant you hire someone who treats...

Hands down the best cut I’ve ever gotten! Let me start by saying I’m not big on getting haircuts because almost every trip to a salon causes me grief which leads me to not wanting to go for 6 months to a year … that being said I had an appointment with Gabriella! The sweetest and most kind hair dresser ! She sat me down and we talked throughly about what my needs were how I’ve been styling my hair my normal routine, she gave her professional opinion and I trusted her the entire way and I’m so glad I did! Consultation / wash / cut blow dry the results amazing I’ve never been so genuinely happy. Thank you Gabriella for giving my hair its life back !
