From the moment we stepped into Guerriero Gelato, we could feel the love behind every scoop.
Mike Guerrieroâs story is incredibleâstarting out sweeping floors at 13 and eventually opening his own award-winning shop. My wife and I had the privilege of going behind the scenes, and watching the team create gelato from scratch was truly inspiring. You can taste the difference. This isnât just dessertâitâs an experience crafted with real care.
We sampled so many incredible flavorsâbut the ones that truly stood out for me were:
đ« Blueberry Basil â beautifully balanced, fresh, and totally unique. Itâs no surprise this flavor won an award in 2019âit tastes like summer and creativity in every bite. â Espresso Chip â rich, bold, and perfectly textured, with just the right amount of chocolate crunch. đŠ Mango â light, refreshing, and full of real fruit flavor. đ„„ Coconut â smooth, creamy, and tropical without being too sweet. đ« Vanilla Chip (Stracciatella) â a perfect classic, with delicate chocolate ribbons that melt just right.
The flavors were so delicious, we forgot to take picturesâbut we did leave with 5 pints.
One of them was Fat Elvis, which tastes like a frozen peanut butter Reeseâs in the best possible way.
Also worth noting: the entire kitchen and shop were spotless. Everything was so clean and organized, it instantly made us trust the freshness and quality of every flavor even more.
Mike and his wife Breanna have built something beautiful together, and their teamâincluding Amanda, who helps bring it all to life through stunning photo and video contentâmakes the whole place feel like a celebration of creativity and community.
Highly recommend visiting if youâre anywhere near Caldwell, NJ. Itâs more than gelatoâitâs heart in...
Read moreAnyone... EVERYONE... This is my very first ever online review for any restaurant or business, but I feel compelled because Guerriero Gelato truly makes incredibly delicious ice creams and the silkiest gelato. I mean, if one wants to indulge, it should be really good and really worth it, and Guerriero's is! My absolute favorites are the Chocolate Fudge Crunch ice cream and the Vanilla Peanut Butter ice cream, but there are no flavors that disappoint. It is no surprise that their products alone make this a great place for desserts and celebrations. But, if that wasn't enough, I have found that with every experience and employee, the service is always delivered with an authentically kind and friendly desire to make the customer happy. On a few occasions of special orders or instructions, I've spoken with both managers, Chris and Marc, and they couldn't have been any nicer or accommodating. Everything about this place is just perfect... Well, I guess if I could make one request, it would be that the same delicious ice creams and gelatos would have no calories. Lol. Thank you everyone at Guerriero Gelato. You've brought a sweetness to quarantine and so much more. I'm so glad that you are in my community and that you deliver in...
Read moreI have been here before but the last visit the ice cream and gelato đ§ was not edible. We ending up throwing it out. 2 smalls cost over $12. I ordered the salted caramel gelato which tasted like the entire container of salt fell in my one small cup. It was way too salty! This being one of my favorite flavors, I have never experienced it tasting like that before at other places. Something was definitely not right!! It was so salty it was not edible and my daughters ice cream, some chocolate flavor had freezer burn. I looked in the freezer and noticed a lot of the ice cream flavors looked as if they had freezer burn. As if thatâs not bad enough the help was not friendly. One girl was training another and was talking down to her and they were both pretty young I donât know who raised that one young lady to talk people like that. We had to ask for spoons. After having an amazing dinner at Forte next door we went to get ice cream out of convenience but I certainly wonât do that again. I hardly ever write reviews but this experience was not good and the owner should know especially since high school kids are representing...
