I ordered a egg and cheese croissant from the drive through.. I had to repeat my order. I received the order in a fairly quick time, tipped a dollar, and drove away. As I took a bite I noticed the first 2 bites weee just bread. I looked at the croissant and noticed a roll of ham the size of 2 fingers. I returned to the store and it was locked. I decided it was not worth driving through the drive through again. I was driving away when the woman opened the door. I explained that I had asked for egg and cheese, no meat, and received ham, and no cheese. She said wait, and went inside. I waited two minutes thinking she was correcting my order when a man came out and asked what happened. I explained what I ordered and what I received. He made a sympathetic face and said “ maybe next time”. I drove away thinking that there would not be a next time. I decided to finish the croissant to not waste it, and get my protein. After I finished the roll of ham in the center, there was six bites of croissant, with no cheese. Very soft, but rather dry and bland. I can understand a miscommunication due to language barriers or faulty intercom . But the balled up ham in the middle of a croissant with 2 inches of bread on the perimeter is a sign of someone who does not care about the product they are serving. The “maybe next time” comment says it all in regards to Customer Service. The ordering miscommunication is a forgivable mistake, but the sloppily assembled croissant, and better luck next time are both deliberate. I will not be back...

The best croissant sandwiches ever! I had been going downtown, now Madison or Power Inn locations for over 25+ years, was eventually able to convince a manager to give me a La Bou baseball cap I offered to pay for (this is how much I love this place). My brother in-law moved to Michigan in 2006, and his La Bou sandwiches are the only thing he misses, I guess only in california boy are we lucky. I offered to get him some maybe dry and get some cold food shipping something to send him, but he doesn't think it will be as good, we'll I do know because I'll buy 2 or 6 sandwiches with mayonnaise etc and they are just as delicious 3 or 4 days later because they are fresh when you get them 😉. Great fruit cups, salads, fresh baked breads, scones, breakfast coroissants, regular bread 🍞 also a really nice place for breakfast or lunch 😋 they close a tad early for me. Awesome service would call ahead to pick my order up between light rail train switches downtown would be ready every time, ( never thought to keep my card on file would have been easier and even faster). Now it's Madison mostly because Power Inn closes way early 2 or 3 pm. Well guess we're I'm going 🤪 made me hungry, now I know what the reviews are for, kinda a reverse psychology of sorts 😅 well it's cheaper than advertising. Keep up the excellent work and food La...

The...
