Brisk and refreshing!! Thanks to Mike and his team for all the fun. Safety is the foremost priority of the team, so I was able to enjoy the white waters way better and I was not afraid to fly away for a refreshing swim. Even though I was the only guest for the full day river trip, the team really got my back. KWA makes sure there are additional guides on the water for everybody’s safety. A second raft and an additional kayak with guides were accompanying my raft, which added an extra layer of trust to the adventure. I was lucky to get Sam “The Great” as my raft guide. He quickly showed me the ropes and he did his best to get me hooked on the refreshing whitewater; consequently, I loved it when I felt mid a rapid section and I had to swim to shore 😊 Many thanks to him for all the serious and safe fun! Cheers to KWA team!

We went on their first rafting trip ever in September (normally the season ends in August)! Water levels were very low, but our guide, Mike, did everything he could to keep us safe, including being alert and catching us whenever we were close to falling in! If you’re not experienced in whitewater rafting, I would recommend catching an earlier trip in the beginning of the season with higher water levels. We had a great time despite flipping the raft and taking a swim at the 8 foot waterfall, but a few cuts/bruises is a small price to pay for an adventure of a lifetime. If we get the opportunity to return to this area, we definitely want to do this trip again, it was the highlight of our vacation to California. Thank you for a great day!

My girlfriend and I did the family adventure and had an absolute blast. So much so that we are changing plans to be able to come back and do the even crazier upper river stretch tomorrow morning. Jaylene is an excellent host and Scott was a fun and experienced guide that kept us in the boat the whole time. They've got a lovely family business and set the bar high on the Kaweah river with fantastic talented staff. Steph and Junior were a blast and I would have loved to be on either of their rafts too. Stacy, the resident photographer, captured some amazing shots of the trip that are sure to go in the scrapbook to look at when we are old and wrinkly. If you are going to go down the Kaweah do it in green and blue!

Booked the High Adventure Upper Trip 9 am and turns out I'm the only one who signed up for the morning so I got the private VIP treatment, which never happens I was told. And they usually only go upto July 4th but b/c of the massive snowfalls during this past winter, they still have snow melt, which is happening only 16-18 hours before you see the water flow. So lucky me all around! There still was the safety boat ahead of us with 2 guides and just me and my guide, "Junior" Mike Curren in our raft. The owner made me a little nervous when he asked if I was ready for a 9' waterfall and why I signed up for the High Adventure trip vs the Family Adventure Lower trip when I haven't done a class IV/III trip before. Well, I wanted the high adventure, lol. Mike, my guide, was very kind and attentive. He explained all safety rules and made me feel safe. I did have to work and paddle since there was only 2 of us in the raft but it's perfectly doable. I only fell in once going down a waterfall but was able to get right back in the raft with the help of Mike. I was out of the water by 11:30 since we didn't run into any problems. I highly recommend this company and especially Mike as the guide. First time white water rafting and I loved the trip! And I still had time to visit Sequoia National Park, only 20 min from park entrance, afterwards before heading out...

We had an amazing experience and would 100% book through them again! We did the half day upper Kaweah River, totaling 4 hours, from safety speech to the final rapid ending where we started. Everyone was amazing and you can tell it is a very well run company. The guides were super knowledgeable and experienced. They cared about our safety and gave each of us the tools to help each other. Junior was our guide and he had a great attitude and made the whole trip very fun. Due to the low water levels, Junior was tasked to getting out and using his body weight and strength to get us unstuck on numerous occasions. But there was still a LOT of water, trust us. At one point, our raft wrapped a rock, causing the 4 of us huddled on 1 rock together, while Junior and other guide Mike worked for 30+ minutes to free our raft. It took an immense amount of physical labor, knots and patience to free the raft for us to continue. Despite the water levels, we experienced and conquered a 10 ft waterfall with Juniors guidance! Overall an amazing experience and would recommend to anyone looking for adventure, but know what you're getting into... it's A LOT OF WORK and not for the timid.

We cannot wait to return ourselves! (Only thing I wish I had done differently was wear shoes instead of Teva sandals, you'll be much happier with closed toed...

We had an absolutely spectacular day on the Kaweah with KWA. We ended up being the only people in the group, but that didn’t dissuade the team in the least from doing our trip. From the moment we walked onto the property we were made to feel at home, Mike, one of the owners greeted us warmly and showed us where to park and check in. After we filled out the basic paperwork our assigned guide, Sam, walked us through a basic painless orientation, and then we were off—my wife, Sam & I in one raft, Mike and another gentleman on another raft, and Briana, a truly badass lady, in her kayak. The river was flowing mightily, and we navigated through rapid after rapid with Sam’s expert precision. It was exhilarating and beautiful. We stopped for lunch at Sierra Subs— they had taken our orders at the beginning of the trip and brought the food down right as we arrived. The food was outstanding, and it was fun to chat with the crew sitting on the porch next to the river. A really kind and authentic crew of people, who clearly do it for the love of the sport. An absolutely amazing day on the river with a great group of human beings....
