0 STARS! Terrible manager. Terrible customer service.

I just got home from the Roxy. Money Monster started at 10:40pm. Got to the Peking lot at 10:55pm (missed the previews on purpose) and walked in at 10:56pm. Nobody was at the box office, I walked in with my mom and when I could have walked in and not paid, I waited for a gentleman to come around from the back and asked if I could buy two tickets. He said no, that they were closed. I asked if that meant it would be free and he got his manager (young girl w/ brown hair). She told me they were closed. I asked about the movie that was just starting (money monster) and she said that was the last movie of the day and that they close the box office 15 minutes after the last movie of the day. I looked at my phone and it was 10:56pm. 1 minute! I asked if we could just go watch it free of charge since she couldn't ring me up - she said no. I asked if I could leave cash and she could just ring up the transaction tomorrow- she said no. My mom informed her that I am visiting from Colorado and this was the only time we were able to get away, she didn't care. Seriously Roxy? Please teach your managers not to turn away customers when movies are playing and teach them to not say you are closed when people are still inside watching movies. I've never felt so belittled as a customer before. Especially when I was willing to pay. And as I pulled into the parking lot at 10:54pm, the lights in the box office were already off, less than 15 minutes after the last movie...

I’m officially done with the Camarillo Roxy Stadium 11.

The entire place is run by teenagers—I swear I have never seen an adult working there. While I don’t have anything against young employees, it’s painfully obvious that there’s a lack of proper oversight when it comes to cleaning and maintaining the theatre.

Let’s start with the theatres themselves:

-They are freezing. Today, it was 56 degrees outside, yet they were blasting the AC in Theatre 2. I know this because I could feel the cold air blowing on my face the entire movie—by the end, my nose was an ice cube. This happens every time I come here.

-They are dirty. I always pick up my trash, but based on what I see around me, I might be the only one. Today, I watched a family of four leave behind an absolute disaster—popcorn everywhere, spilled drinks, just a massive mess. The staff barely has enough time between showings, and instead of sanitizing seats, they’re stuck cleaning up after customers who don’t care. And considering these are all teenagers, let’s be honest—how thorough do you think that cleaning actually is? I’m bringing sanitizing wipes next time.

And then there are the bathrooms…

-Sinks that don’t work. -Missing toilet paper. -Filthy toilet seats, many covered in graffiti.

Honestly, it’s disappointing. I used to enjoy coming here, but the lack of cleanliness, ridiculous AC settings, and poor maintenance make it hard to justify anymore.

I must revise my review to reflect my disappointment that they are not carrying certain movies that i would line to see. They won't have The Black Panther, they are not carrying Proud Mary, and if I'm not mistaken, they did not carry the movie Girls Trip. I won't say that they are racist, but there seems to be some kind of trend in not carrying these very popular movies.

The ticket prices are very reasonable for the accommodations. The seats are so soft and wide, plus they recline, and they are made of leather so if you're the type who is concerned about germs and carry wipes and sanitizer with you everywhere (like me), you can quickly and easily wipe the seat off prior to sitting in it.

I don't mind making the trip from Oxnard to patronize this theater. It's great!!

Here are a few things I thought needed some attention from my most recent visit: The ladies room could use a bit more attention and My phone fell between the seats and there was a ton of popcorn down there when I went to retrieve it, and it was sticky, I definitely covered my hand before diving down there. But I guess this is to be expected, nobody should be digging between the seats anyway. However, they might want to do a once over every now and then so it doesn't get to bad. So, other than...
