My rating is based solely on the incompetence and unprofessionalism I experienced with the Student Accounts office at CU. All other departments at the university have been courteous, understanding, and helpful—but unfortunately, my dealings with Student Accounts were the complete opposite.

I officially disenrolled from the university in October 2024, yet I continued to be billed without my knowledge, as I was no longer attending. When I eventually became aware and contacted the office, the representative I spoke with was rude, dismissive, and offered no meaningful assistance. They denied my claims and applied a number of questionable charges to my account.

Each time I attempted to speak with the director to resolve the issue, I was told she was either unavailable or would call me back—yet no return call was ever made. As time passed and I became busy with work and life, I suddenly received an email stating that my account was being sent to collections. I called immediately, and a note was added indicating that I would pay the balance once the invalid charges were removed. Despite this, they continued to pursue the full amount until I was finally able to involve another department that confirmed and removed the incorrect charges.

Unfortunately, this intervention came too late to prevent the account from being sent to collections. I never heard back from the director until the situation had already escalated. The entire experience felt like coercion—an attempt to force payment for the university's own billing errors under threat of...

Honestly the school itself is not overly bad! I’ve only had one professor who was an absolute ass..that was Scott Rasnic! He is in the English Dept! Chances are you will fail his class..he is very hard grader and very condescending!

Also a lot of the classes have a boon you are required to buy plus you have to buy like 6 months of “access” to an online portal to the assignments on. It’s not enough to buy just the book..nah, they make you buy the access too. I pay a $125 technology fee every semester to access moodle but to then have to pay for another place to do the assignments on. 🤷‍♂️

My only other complaint is the financial Aid dept!

  1. they NEVER answer the phone.
  2. Student refunds happen practically in the middle of the semester and sometimes later. Last year I didn’t receive my refund until December. For fall, it was December and for spring it was April. This forced me to buy books and supplies for my classes out of my current wages that are sufficient for me to survive but not incur large expenses. These books are not $1-200 they are closer to $3-400 and you don’t get to keep them , you only “access” them for up to 6 months. My previous school you had your student load money 2 weeks before class started!

Also they switched to “workday” ! It takes about 2 days to get 1 thing done and be happy if it “ goes through”

I definitely won’t pursue my masters...

I am never coming back. This is one of the greediest universities in the USA. Don't expect anymore money from me. Campbellsville University does not care about their students (mainly commuters which make up a good percentage of the student body). Today we were put on a snow schedule. I could barely get to school. I almost had 4 accidents on the way to class due to horrid icy road conditions. I spun my tires through two intersections and a the parking lot next to the academic building. I could barely get through. A road to the University (within three miles) was completely ice on half of the road. Why should I risk my life and PAY $30000 a year to go to this University when every school around here is not in session. They do not care about the student body. They could care less if one of us got killed. If they even clear the sidewalks they barely do. I almost fell three times and I'm wearing non-slip boots. They don't...
