I have been going to this Papaya location eversince they opened recently and I used to got to the one in Dearborn before. Here is my ratings, Parking: Average and you should have no issue finding a spot to park ur car. Prices: Very reasonable and affordable prices. customer service: Good customer service and friendly staff speically the young man with a beard in the meat & poultry departmrnt. Inventorty: Their stocks & inventory are wide with more selections. cleanliness: Its still brand new store so its clean and well-maintained. Bakery: ladies working in this department are well experinced and eveytime I come for shopping i must pick their "Managesh" speically the pie with half cheese & Zatar. All I can say is, Thank you Papaya MGT for this location and keep up the good work. You really deserve our communiry support. Quality + reasonable prices + good customers service= growth & sucess long term. 👍 Which is Win/Win for both MGT & customers. I will keep editing to this post moving forward as i continue my shopping here. Updates: unfortunately, I had to downgrade my star ratings from 5 ro 3 due to my recent visit experience. I have been buying the salty cheese from this location regularly, however, during my last shoping trips i have found these cheese to be smelly & even their test was weird and unpleasant. I noticed that they tend to keep them longer on shvelves instead of replacing them with freshed n newly packed ones. I took the one i purchased to the cashier & asked her to exchange, she had to take the store female manager ( i believe her name is malak) She asked me the reason i want to exchange and i explained to her but she was unhappy and acted in a rude & unprofessional manner before she allowed me to exhchange it with a fresher one. I will give them another try but if i face the same poor experience i will go back to Dearborn Fresh Markets in dearborn.
Updated on 09/14 I would like to provide my updated feedback. I continue to frequent the store one to two times weekly, primarily due to the competitive pricing and extensive product selection. While I acknowledge the recent opening of Greenland's expanded location a few miles away, I remain a loyal Papaya customer. However, I have observed some areas for improvement within the bakery department. Specifically, the customer service provided by the front lady member taking orders has been inconsistent and unpleasant. Her demeanor often appears strained, and she seems reluctant to assist with orders, particularly for sub sandwiches. She frequently redirects me to other staff members, even when they are occupied. This behavior is not in line with the customer service standards expected. In contrast, the previous staff member, who I interacted with a few months ago, consistently provided excellent service. Her friendly and helpful attitude, coupled with her willingness to assist, significantly enhanced the customer experience. I kindly request that management address this matter to ensure consistent and positive customer...

I recently bought a box of Middle Eastern sweets (baklava) from this store, it was spoiled when we opened it at home. It had a bad smell and was visibly off. We immediately discarded the item to avoid any risk to our family.
When I returned to the store the next day to report the issue and show proof of purchase (credit card statement), I was told that a refund couldn’t be issued without the actual spoiled food or a receipt. The register person had asked if I wanted a receipt at the time of purchase, and I declined, not anticipating a return would be necessary. The store manager criticized me for not having the receipt and was quite rude and dismissive.
I understand the need for store policies, but the way I was treated and the lack of flexibility or willingness to resolve the issue were disappointing. I won’t be returning to this store. The $20 money is not a big deal, but there is no curtesy to take care of the customer and make things right.
Poor customer service, unhelpful staff, and spoiled products.
You may be the best store, may have great price doesn’t matter when you don’t know how to treat a paying customer, will pay big price later for this behavior!
I spoke to the lady in this picture, she was not helpful and she called the guy, they guy was one very rude, said "do whatever you...
Read moreJust left Papaya Fruit market with my husband. We found this place online looking for not your everyday fruit to juice. They had papaya and other exotics fruits. First thing I'd noticed was not only the produce but how we were being watch as if we was gonna steal. This place was operated by foreigners. I want want say Arabic but not sure. My husband and I are black. I guess we're the foreigners and they don't see us everyday. A rude customer kept getting in our way as if we were in hers. The cashier was operating under evil practices. She kept spraying around us as if we have the plague. The neighboring cashier noticed her behavior and mentioned that she just did that. She didn't want to touch our money, speak, or serve us so she acted like she had an override and called for assistance. 2 women came. It was obvious by the look on their face, that the cashier who wasn't serving have disturbing deep-seeded evil issues. They proceeded to check us out. I wouldn't recommend anyone who truly Loves the Lord shop here. Whether you black, white, brown, or green, God don't see color....and neither should they. Yet they treated us as the devil would. Keep your fruit. Everything on this earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof. You're not the place that...
