Wonderful ambiance as soon as you walk in. The decor and colors incorporated into the interior design are so bright and warm. I love how they've incorporated a beeper to let you know when the food is done. The music makes the room so alive, and the wall decor keeps the energy at an all time high.

I went with the Iced Yemeni Latte that has cardamon and cloves into it and WOW! It's like a flavor explosion went off in my mouth. Seriously, as soon as I took a sip, it was an aroma of different flavors that work so well together.

There were so many good-looking desserts to choose from, it was hard to select only one, but I went with the Pistachio Bamboosa as my dessert. The smooth texture of it along with the crunchiness of the pistachios works extremely well. Felt very light and airy, yet filling. I'm really at a loss of words. It's just such a perfect mixture of ingredients cooked to perfection. You can definitely tell that lots of love went into the menu as a whole.

The workers are extremely friendly and constantly checked up on me to make sure I was enjoying my meal and was satisfied with my overall experience. Had a great chat with one of the workers as I was taking some sweets for carry out. Overall amazing experience and would...

My experience during my first visit to Matari Coffee was superb and I look forward to trying all of their various coffees and teas before I settle on the best of the best. I’ve had their mafowar coffee and pistachio tea so far and they are my ‘go to’ depending if I feel like having and amazing coffee or tea. If I want a constant staple of the Yemeni tea culture, I’ll go with an Adeni tea which is a milk based tea that is accented with such a unique and subtlety spiced flavor. I still have a ways to go and will update my review accordingly. The manager was so hospitable and engaging in spite of how busy he was and he set the tone for his amazing crew as they were all so pleasant and handled their busy rush with grace and efficiency. The shop itself is beautifully decorated and captures the historical essence of Yemen and the role of coffee in it’s rich history. It’s hard to be critical of a shop that delivers when it comes to quality, service, and beauty. This cafe is a must try for all and I’m fortunate to live so close to this gem. Full disclosure: I will take back everything I’ve described if this place becomes too busy for me...

Matari is a great, new place and I couldn't be happier that it's right in my hometown. I've been twice - once in the cafe and once for a take away and both experiences were great!

The savory treats and drinks we've tried are all so good and filling. There were so many delicious looking things that we appreciated the recommendations from the very friendly and helpful staff.

Foods we've enjoyed so far (in order of our preferences) include: Honeycomb Bread (YUM!) Potato, cheese and herbs pastry Feta cheese, basil, tomato and herb pastry Goat cheese and olive pastry

Our drink choices have included a Yemeni Latte, Adeni tea and Mofowar coffee. All are wonderful!

Although we have yet to get any desserts, it is fun just looking at the case of their works of art!

The place is sparkling clean, well-appointed and comfortable. There are plenty of well-spaced tables inside. The style is sleek with interesting artwork, including a gorgeous mural. It is the perfect place to meet with friends or have a...

I don’t recommend the pistachio chocolate, also known as Dubai chocolate. I was disappointed once I got home and realized how thin the bar was. When I opened it, the filling was so dry, and you could barely taste any pistachio, despite its name. The packaging was impressive, but the quality of the chocolate itself was lacking. I hope they improve this product or remove it from their menu. Aside from that, I've visited Matari Coffee numerous times and have enjoyed a variety of their offerings. Their Matari latte, both hot and iced, and the Yemeni latte, also hot and iced, are delicious and worth trying. The pomegranate mojito is refreshing, and their lotus, rose, and pistachios milk cakes, and basbosah are delightful. They offer an array of cheesecakes that are consistently good. The ambiance of the place is charming, making it a pleasant spot for coffee and dessert. Overall, I highly recommend Matari Coffee, except for the pistachio chocolate. For more details, you can check out the pictures I've shared.
