Transporting taste buds to the heart of the Mediterranean at Al Ameer in Canton – where every bite tells a story of tradition and innovation! 🌍🍽️ Prepare to be dazzled by a culinary journey that blends timeless favorites with tantalizing surprises of their own creation. 😍👌 From the moment you step in, the aroma of freshly baked pitas and flatbreads sets the stage for an unforgettable feast. 🥙🥖 But let’s talk about the stars of the show – the beef Shawarma sandwich, kissed with pomegranate molasses, is a revelation, a true game-changer for Shawarma enthusiasts! 🥩💥 And don’t even get me started on the stuffed lamb – tender, flavorful, and downright divine, it earns the title of the best bite not only of my visit but quite possibly of the entire year! 🏆✨ With each dish, Al Ameer showcases their dedication to excellence and passion for crafting culinary masterpieces. 🌟👨‍🍳 Don’t miss out on the opportunity to savor the flavors of the Mediterranean – make your way to Al Ameer and prepare to be dazzled! 💫🍴 #detroitinfluencer #detroitfoodie #foodie @alameermediterranean

My husband and I came here for a late Valentine’s Day date (dumb school snow days, lol) and when we got there, I noticed it was very clean and organized. We were greeted and placed our order at the counter, we ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich, with fries, sambousek, rice pilaf with almonds, and secret off menu item, beef hummus with pita loaves. It was all very good. Served in take out containers and brought to our table on a tray with disposable utensils and napkins. The off menu beef hummus was AMAZING! We learned of it from a Detroit Eats Instagram Influencer, well worth it! Comes with seasoned beef/almond mixture on top of hummus. Everything had good flavor. The fries are skinny and have very good flavor as well, yummmm we will be back!

Pulled up to Alameer Caton location for dinner. My wife wanted to try it because she see saw their shrawama on one of their reels on Instagram. She odered the chicken, and I odered the beef shrawama. We also odered some cheese spring rolls and small fatoush salads. They also serve homade bread right out the oven, which was absolutely delicious. My beef shrawama was just ok. It's not bad, just ok. It could have used a little more seasoning, and the garlic sauce was not as flavorful as I am used to having at other mediterranean spots. My wife enjoyed her chicken shrawama. The cheese Spring rolls were certified delicious. Customer service excellent. Overall, AlAmeer was just ok. Nothing stood out. Just good honest food. Go check it out.

After hearing so many recommendations, I found Al Ameer to be somewhat overrated. As out-of-state visitors, we had high expectations, but the food at this location was just OK - nothing particularly special or memorable. The only dish that stood out was their falafel, which I'd consider genuinely good. The location itself isn't ideal for families. The seating arrangements are not very comfortable, making it difficult to enjoy a relaxed meal with children. It seems more geared toward quick dining or takeout rather than a family dining experience. On a positive note, the service staff was attentive and tried their best to accommodate our requests, which is commendable considering the fast-paced, carry-out oriented environment of the restaurant. They were friendly and helpful despite the constraints of their setup. If you're looking for a quick meal or takeout, this might work for you, but I wouldn't make a special trip if you're expecting an exceptional Middle Eastern dining experience, especially with...

BUYER BEWARE

Check your food for foreign objects!!! My uncle and I recently ordered some food from Al Ameer for takeout, the food itself tasted fine, however there was a toothpick inside of the fresh baked bread that I was eating that ended up getting logged in the back of my throat. Long story short that ended up with a trip to the ER to get it removed not to mention the piece fell down my throat to cause potential unknown damage. Al Ameer was apologetic but never offered any assistance with medical bills or even a simple refund.. Their claim was that there's no way a toothpick could of got in the bread dough... But the fact of the matter is it did. I hope that whomever reads this post takes this into account the type of service/hospitality offered by Al Ameer because they flat out don't care about their customers and their apology is meaningless...

The food at this new Canton location is just as fantastic as their Dearborn location. The hummus is flavorful and creamy, and the tabouli salad is fresh and flavorful. And the homemade pita is exceptional. The dining experience is not the traditional sit-down place like the Dearborn location w/ plates and waiters. It’s more to-go/carry-out with some tables in it. You order up front at the register when you walk in, and if you dine in, they will bring the food to your table. Food comes in their to-go containers, and they give you paper plates, which isn’t as nice an atmosphere, even if everything is clean and brand new. But the staff is super-friendly, and attentive to all your needs, and the food is so good, that my daughter and I recommend dining in over carry out, just so you can get the delicious homemade pita...
