Such a sad experience for our students. We flew all the way to Florida to experience apathetic and disinterested staff.
We paid for this experience 5months in advanced for 73 students, sent the 73 registration forms with the date of birth of all 73 of the (all under 13)… AT NO POINT DURING THOSE 5 MONTHS THE COMPANY CONTACTED US to clarify the “new facility” (we had been there a few years before with 105 students) could only fit 72 people -and those 72 spaces had to include the adults; we couldn’t stay and observe from afar.
It wasn’t until our students were inside, wearing their shirt, that the staff addressed the issue asking us to remove 6 students from the group because they couldn’t fit all of them (LIKE WE JUST COULD PICK AND CHOOSE STUDENTS not only TO LEAVE OUT OF THE EXPERIENCE but to leave BY THEMSELVES).
They made no effort to work something out with us, had 0 empathy, and tried to blame us calling us liars for saying that we were 72 when we were 73 (even though they had all our information and registration forms). The manager came out and automatically wanted to talk about money and make it seem it was our fault as to not return the payment for the service we didn’t receive- clearly her priority were not our kids who kept asking “teacher, was it something we did?”. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.
We had been there years before and had also experienced difficulties with the activity and had avoided going for a few years. Clearly not making that mistake again, with so many thing to do in Orlando ATX can be left out pf the...
Read moreThe Astronaut Training Experience was underwhelming and didn’t meet my expectations. From their description, I anticipated an immersive opportunity to engage with or at least observe authentic astronaut training equipment and activities. Instead, it became clear that the program is primarily designed for children, which I wish had been communicated more clearly in their marketing materials.
Most of the “training equipment” felt more like theme park attractions than tools used by actual astronauts. I had hoped to see more real-life astronaut training simulations, but only the Microgravity Simulator came close to delivering that. Even as an entertainment experience, it fell short compared to what theme parks typically offer.
On the positive side, the staff were patient, friendly, and highly informational, which added value to the experience. I can see how younger participants might find it fun and educational. However, for adults seeking a more realistic or thrilling experience, this may not be the...
Read moreWe booked the Astronaut Training experience as a special treat for my son's 10th birthday, having paid for it a month in advance. While there were some positive aspects to the day, overall, I found the experience to be underwhelming and not worth the full price.
We were able to complete only one station without any glitches, which happened to be the zero gravity station, and it was undoubtedly the highlight of the day. However, all the other stations had some kind of issue or problem, which was disappointing. Our experience started at 8:30 AM and lasted until 3 PM, making it a full day affair. If you wish to eat or visit the gift shop, you are required to purchase the full park pass. Although the park itself is amazing and offers a lot to see and do, it would require an entire day to truly enjoy it. At the end we felt that it did not live up to our expectations and was not worth the...
