One would expect “information” to be … informative.
We went into the Information area to seek advice from actual humans about which tickets we needed to buy and how to plan our time at the facility. The options on the self checkout kiosks aren’t self explanatory.
The person in Information (name redacted to protect the guilty) maybe has been in the business a little long and let out a dramatic sigh before telling us we can buy tickets from a machine. She could not have been less helpful, and for instance could not articulate the difference between the long and short bus tours, and could not answer questions about optional ticket add ons like “fly with an astronaut”. She grudgingly sold us tickets, but it was an uphill battle sort of between a 3G shuttle ride and a 9G Apollo ride.
That initial experience aside, we had occasion to go back to Information a few more times and the other staff were friendly and helpful.
PRO TIP: the KSC has a Kennel facility on site and contact is made at a phone box next to the kennel door. The kennel staff are actually in Information, so if you have questions or are headed to the kennel, it will make everything easier to meet them there.
