Letort Park has some amazing potential. The playground for kids was recently updated within the past couple of years and is very nice. The pavilion is also nice but tends to be used by locals as a place to smoke their cigarettes and hang out for long periods of time making it uncomfortable for families to enjoy. The splash pad is great for local kids to come and cool off during the hot summer months. The Letort Creek is a beautiful spot to watch the ducks but could use some consistent clean up as trash often compiles in the many trees which act as strainers. For now, I would say it is important for parents to supervise their kids while at the park. Many kids are unsupervised and dont know how to act appropriatly in a public setting. This is a park from my childhood however so a remain hopeful that the borough and its residence will help make this place the safe park that I remember.

A real gem of a park near down town Carlisle. Has a nice playground and pavilion picnic area, some nice grassy meadows and picnic tables, even a baseball diamond and a few tennis courts. And of course the beautiful Letort Spring Run flowing right through it. Stopped through here and ate lunch on my way elsewhere just to remember my law school days and it was a great visit. There was a kids birthday party and magic show going on in the pavilion, looked fun! Have a picnic, gaze at the stream, and enjoy the beautiful spot.

First time here yesterday! And we absolutely loved it! It's so much to do and there's something for kids of all ages! The colors and design is absolutely gorgeous, the colors blend in with the environment surrounding and gives off a calming vibe. my only complaint would be the "Tire Swing" the tire is pretty small and doesn't look very supportive if more then one child is swinging on it. Other then that, The picture really doesn't do it justice! Go see for yourself!

The playground itself is gorgeous and my children love going here! Plus the ducks are super cute. 🦆

❤️‍🩹STOP FEEDING THEM BREAD. IF YOU HAVE TO FEED THEM PLEASE BUY DUCK FOOD💔. You’re going to make them and the water sick. There are clearly signs up not to feed the ducks, can we get trail cams or something? Not just for the duck feeding but for the LITTERING. A lot of garbage in the water and back the trail where I always see the older kids/teens, my husband and I spent a day cleaning a lot of it out of the water near the parking lot. If anyone likes cleaning public areas this place needs TLC.

A lot of older children/young teenagers unsupervised yelling profanities and calling eachother names loudly and jokingly and talking about drugs and such. On the playground and around it. It made being there uncomfortable for me and my small children.

My two children (3&5)and I waked back the nature trail today and mostly saw garbage and kids yelling profanities in large groups. Someone almost hit us with a motor bike on the trail going like 25…

Please stop letting your older kids and teenagers go to family parks unsupervised! They are not adults. They shouldn’t be alone making this place unbearable and unsafe and unsanitary.

We had to leave early today because someone was acting suspicious in an all black outfit with their face covered by a black face mask in the middle of the day in 90 degree weather speaking loud profanity around preschool...

This park is creepy and a drug spot. People park here and do drugs in their cars (even with kids running around) and then drive under the influence (I’ve twice seen people almost hit kids in parking lot). Also it’s a place where people meet to do drug deals - in picnic area and on trail and even out in the open in parking area. The trails are full of druggy homeless people and human feces (you can smell it). Ironically, when school lets out there are TONS of kids here at play area, but weirdly a lot of parents don’t actually go over the play area with their children, they sit in their cars scrolling social media and have no clue what is going on and teenagers are dealing drugs to other kids. Parents, if you go here — GET OFF YOUR PHONES AND WATCH YOUR KIDS. Local police- do better. Everyone knows this is a drug spot -...
