First time ordering here. I just moved to the area after the last hurricane hit FL losing my home. I was feeling homesick today looking for comfort food, I found this gem. Everything on the menu sounded so good that it took me a while to decide. I went with the Jerk Chicken (Large) platter. I got the sweet plantains, rice and beans and cabbage I also took advantage of the bogo deal on the Best Mac & Cheese. I never watched the map on door dash so hard waiting for my food to arrive. I was shocked and pleased at how heavy the box felt and opening it up to see all the delicious food inside. It was like the sound effect to what is sounds like when the gates of heaven open in movies lol I snapped a quick pic to brag before digging in and oh my goodness. The flavor was amazing. Everything complimented each other so well! It had seasoning that not only could you see but also taste! A true musical for my mouth and belly! My family and I came up to Carlisle to visit Dickinson during our college process. We went off the beaten track and followed our noses to this small but mighty restaurant. It’s definitely more take out oriented, but there is nice seating options available. My dad is not an adventurous eater, but this past year he has been on an exploration of sorts, entirely my doing, which has made him branch out from the regular chicken and potatoes. In light of that, he was a little hesitant trying this place out, but the owner eased his mind entirely. He gave out samples that were enough for all of us, and gave a thorough run down of each dish and how it was cooked. There were no need for questions because he had already read your mind before you thought it. My mom had an old cup of tea and the owner offered to make her a new batch because it was very cold outside that day. It was presented beautifully. Needless to say, we were beyond satisfied. The food was exceptional, so much so my dad got two orders worth of food just for him and his leftovers. Food: I got the large jerk chicken with plantains, rice and beans, and Mac n cheese, I also got the spicy beef patty The chicken was super tender and juicy! it had an amazing flavor and was slightly sweet with a little kick The plantains were great, I love plantains The rice and beans were well seasoned and wasn't dry, paired really well with the chicken The Mac n cheese was also really good The spicy beef patty was incredible, the beef was delicious and the patty was super crispy and flaky Overall the food was top tier, it was about 22$ for the platter and patty which isn't bad at all considering how filling it was. Service: the staff was really nice and inviting, got us our food quickly, and thanked us for coming

Atmosphere: great atmosphere, walked in and was hit with heat and scent from the food and spices. Super friendly environment, lots of art on the walls. We ate in so they put on some music which was nice. Even though the dining area was small there was still plenty of space at the tables and to move around.
