What a fantastic addition to Carlsbad's city parks - much credit due to the people and neighborhood organizations that pushed for its creation!

The space and equipment is all clean, modern and accessible, and there is enough there to satisfy all ages. The playground equipment kept my 5 year-old entertained for almost 2 hours, and there were older (several much older) kids playing on it as well. Between the play structure & slide, the swing, teeter totter and a few other areas, there is plenty to accommodate quite a few kids at any given time.

There are benches and tables for those who want to just chill, a huge grass field for soccer, football, tag, etc., a paved path encircling the whole park for running or dog-walking, and even a water station that can refill water bottles.

As is customary (and a nice touch) in most of Carlsbad's parks and open spaces, there is an informational sign that talks about the history of the space, and how it was formerly a reservoir that was built long before the city was even officially registered.

The neighborhood/community vibe and hilltop views (you can even see the ocean) make it feel open and larger than its footprint. Looking forward to returning many times...

Great job creating this natural park City of Carlsbad! Our family attended 2 workshops that were well run by city staff.

Wonderful addition to Olde Carlsbad. It would be great to create more Neighborhood parks in the NW CBad area, where so many family's and kids walk and bike nowadays.

It is a sad commentary that it took 5 years of litigation from Carlsbad residents for the Mayor and city council to finally back off from selling off our public BV reservoir land to another developer. They have been doing this quietly for too long...

The Mayor & council says we have enough parks in the Oldest & densest part of Carlsbad - the most walk/bike friendly part of Carlsbad. Too many parks are right next to the 5 freeway with no sound wall and are not usable. Also the green space areas that used to be open to the public...

Lovely park, but no restrooms. I was glad to see youngsters using the playground. It is actually a good demonstration garden with some low water plants and some California natives mixed with other medium water use plants. I think like the purple trees are Forest Pansy Eastern Redbud Trees, not the lower water Western Redbud. It would be really nice if the plants were labelled so we could find them in a nursery for our own gardens. There is a large lawn where some preschoolers were just running and rolling around enjoying themselves. It is nice that it isn't flat like a mini soccer field. The paved pathway that circles the park is a good width for novice skaters or bicyclists or scooter riders. You can even see the ocean from the picnic tables on the knoll. This is a really nice addition to the...

Love this park, has a great walk around paved trail, fun playground, friendly people, clean space and a great community park for families of all sizes. I would also say this is an awesome place for kids birthday celebrations or family holiday get togethers.

Small neighborhood park. It has a playground and a few dog walkers. Dogs have to be on leash. Nice spot to watch sunsets. It has a little view of the ocean and high enough to see over the house to the water.
