Greek Corner Café — Restaurant in Carlsbad

Greek corner Cafe had been closed for far too long! My boyfriend and I drive by every time we’re in the area, just in case we happen to see the “open” sign light up in the window… and it finally happened! We stopped by last night for a very impromptu dinner but we had to check it out since it had been what seemed like years since we’ve had their food. Service was great and she let us know that they had just re-opened yesterday (6/27/2022) as of this post they currently do not have beer or wine but they are working on obtaining one again. Food was just as fantastic as we remembered! Just please not they currently do not have everything on the menu. We tried to order the Greek sampler but they didn’t have a few components, which is completely understandable, so we settled for the combination plate with one chicken and souvlaki kebab. Something our waitress recommended was mixing the chicken and lentil soup together because we couldn’t choose and that was a great choice! Will definitely be doing that next time I stop by. They also renovated the inside, it’s still small and quaint but noticeably updated at least in the seating areas. This is one of my hands down favorite Greek places to eat in Oceanside/Carlsbad and I am elated it’s back. Please be patient if you visit them any time within the next month or so. Update: 7/1/22 They just had a Re Grand Opening! An amazing local family owned business. We are so happy to see this place back up! The price is right. The food portions are filling! Food is spectacularly fresh! This is definitely one of our most favorite spots in San Diego. Please support this little business. Try their dishes! You won't regret it!

This place is a hidden Gem , located in the same parking lot of Marshalls. We wanted to try something different. Had the craving for Greek food. We had noticed there is very few Greek places here in North County San Diego. So we gave it a shot. We bought two big meals. Which costed us 30 bucks. We were surprised, and figured let's give this place a chance. For a special treat. We felt guilty spending that much, for trying a place we never ate at. We gambled. WE TELL YOU , IT WAS WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY!!!!!!!!!!!!! We felt guilty for even thinking that this place wasn't worthy enough. It is by far the best Gyros I have ever had with the dipping sauce and rice pilaf is to die for. The lamb meat is the right amount of crunchy! Everytime we feel like we deserve one heck of a meal. Tiny hidden gem in Oceanside, specializing in Greek cuisine. This place serves the juiciest salmon I’ve ever eaten. Savory hints of spices and mouth watering garlic flavor. The salmon is so juicy and tender, it melts in your mouth. Really, just the best.

Dinner meals start with a Greek salad, a delicious cup of soup and then the entree. From the rice to the salad, to the protein…it’s a 5 out of 5. Including the sampler entree plate my friend ordered. The hummus was superb too.

Customer service was out of this world. Kati was the hostess. She pleasantly gave detailed descriptions of a couple dishes we had questions about. But what stood out most was her genuine care for her customers. Every single person who walked in, whether for pick up, delivery or dine-in, she was friendly, courteous, and just so aware/attentive.

The unkept restroom is the only reason why I’m giving a 4 out of 5. Cleaning chemicals were at reach of children. It was untidy and I think it’s important to keep restrooms clean and safe. One last thing, their desert menu could improve as it only had one item to offer.

Other than that, my friend and I were both blown away by the delicious, fresh flavor of authentic greek food. Cannot...
