Lourdes Mexican Food Carlsbad — Restaurant in Carlsbad

I ordered three rolled tacos and was so disappointed in the way they were made. I'm an American Mexican so I know what good Mexican food is cause my mom was a great cook. Somebody please train the cook to put the cheese on top of the roll tacos instead of on the bottom.The cheese melted so there is no cheese on my roll tacos.I was trying to scrape it off the cut to go box. I was Lmao 🤣 at this Is taco shop today. The roll tacos were pretty good size but I paid for guacamole and cheese on them too.The guacamole was flavorless and the cheese what little I did get off.That was melted on the box because whoever made them miss the rolled was not very good either. You expect to get authentic Mexican cheese from a Mexican shop with a reputation like this one has. I did not want to drive back and waste my time.Haggling over such a terrible meal. But there's nothing like the power of a review. I am a famous balloon artist and when people ask me about rolled tacos here I'll say I would not get them. I would tell them to go to Varlarta Express right across from them.They have great rolled tacos and they give you 4 and they're cheaper and they give you more guacamole and cheese and the guacamole tastes great. Shame on this restaurant for the reputation you have. Train your employees better or put a camera on them or something. Lmao 😂 at Lourdes taco Carlsbad shop...

My niece brought me a 2 taco plate from here today (first time customer) and I have to say it was great, the beef tacos were good but a little of the red sauce made them amazing. I love beans and theirs were very good. Now I don't normally like Mexican rice as it's always too dry but theirs surprised me and was great, I ate every bite of the meal and was very satisfied.

I see some negative reviews about this location in particular but I will be trying it again, don't know if I just got lucky this time or not.

EDIT: OK, this is one of my favorite go-to places now, been here at least a dozen or more times and keep trying new items, only found one item I don't care for (rolled beef tacos). They make amazing chile relleno burrito. Their mild sauce on the salsa bar is amazing if you are looking for very low heat (I am not a spicy eater) and their Mexiacan style carrots are amazing. I have never found anyone that was not friendly (like I saw a few reviews mentioned) and was always greeted with a smile and nice small talk and even gave me great ideas on what to try new. BELOW AVERAGE RESTAURANT..... So we ordered to go food as we were craving some Mexican food so my wife suggested we try this fairly new restaurant... We ordered chips/guacamole, chicken enchiladas and a California burrito...got home and started with the guacamole and chips and the chips were stale/old...guac was blended to almost puree, very liquid and no texture/chunks of guacamole, pretty disappointing....then I tried the burrito and the fries were barely cooked(not brown or crisp/looked white still) and again not appetizing or tasty. We called to notify them but they were really not interested in what we had to say and couldn't get us off the phone quick enough. We are a local family and we will NOT be back, too many other very good local restaurant options. BELOW AVERAGE FOOD and their non caring attitude...
