Holiday Park — Attraction in Carlsbad

I’ve seen this park so many times when driving home from the beach and we’ve always wanted to try it. When we went, there was hardly anyone there and at one point our son was the only kid on the playground.

💰This park is free 📚Across the street from Carlsbad city library 🌳Gigantic trees that give so much shade to the playground 🖼HUGE lawn with multiple trees that provide adequate shade 🧺Covered pavilion with picnic tables and charcoal grills. There are also picnic tables and charcoal grills scattered throughout park 🛖Gazebo 🚽Restrooms 🏐Dirt volleyball court 🎠2 separate playground with bucket swings and standard swings. The playground surface is both sand and rubber so bring your beach toys if your kids enjoy playing in the sand. 🛣Right next to the 5 freeway so it is quite loud 🚙Parking spaces surrounding the north and east ends of the park. You can also parallel park in the street 🚲Paved sidewalk through the center and surrounding the park but the far west end is a busy road so just watch your kids closely if they are riding...

Every drive to the coast includes this overlook to the Pacific Ocean! Today there was a bubble maker that I’ve never seen before, and he was producing over 100 bubbles with every swing of his arm! The music was fun enough lifting. There were kids and adults were running through the bubbles.

There are walkers, bikers, onlookers & beach goers that populate this park for some fun people watching. There’s no vendors so it’s a chill environment to take in nature.

Pelicans gracefully floating by, the sound of the waves, the ever changing color of the water AND sky brings me back for the one of a kind experience. You can see south bound down...
