Dynamic Sound Systems — Attraction in Carlsbad

I highly recommend DSS if you are in the market for high end audio and/or home theater gear. I had originally walked into the store looking for a Dolby Atmos demo. I had researched Atmos online pretty extensively but really wanted to hear it for myself and see if the hype was worth it (it is!).

I walked in and Brian greeted me. He was patient, professional, knowledgeable and was clearly passionate about high end audio. I made it clear that I was just looking to learn more and probably would not be purchasing any equipment that day. He said it was no problem and proceeded to spend time running me through his recommendations and demoed several stereo speaker pairs they had in their listening studio. He asked me to come back the next day so he could set up an Atmos demo. I came back and was very impressed! In the end Brian ended up selling me a 5.1.2 system comprised of Anthem, Paradigm, and Rel gear. The end result was a home theater experience that in my humble opinion gives the big screen a run for its money! I also think it is important to note that I like to extensively research equipment before I purchase it. One of the things I look for is consistency between what a salesman tells and what the manufacturer literature and other reputable third parties recommend. Brian far exceeded my expectations, he definitely studies and understands the equipment he is selling.

Daniel performed the custom install at my house. He absolutely blew away my expectations. Seriously, he performed a miracle. When he walked in my house I was immediately impressed by his confidence and professionalism. He was tasked with installing four ceiling speakers and mounting a TV on the wall. He managed to route all of the wires without cutting any additional holes in the drywall - he worked in some amazingly tight spaces but was able to fish everything through. Further he kept the workspace extremely tidy. When I saw the final result I was shocked to see zero mess - no saw dust, no left over wire trimmings, nothing. It was an amazingly clean install with extreme attention to detail.

Overall the crew at DSS is an incredible group of professionals. They are a small business that takes pride in their work. DSS is located in Carlsbad. Even if you live in San Diego area, this is the place to go if you are interested in high-end audio systems! I came to know DSS through Google when I decided to have a stereo system. DSS offered a demo session, and patiently demonstrated some combs. When I showed particular interests in B&W, they offered a demo session as soon as they got the 805D4 demo ready. Joe was very knowledgable and offered good advices of the setup, from the source, the amp and the choice of speakers.

I placed my order at the end of 2021, and got my Mcintosh amp on March 2022. Due to COVID, B&W has a back-order issue, and Mark and his team has called me regularly for updates. Even though it is long waiting, I am well informed and prepared. Finally the speaker arrived at June.

The customer service at DSS is second to none. These guys really will take care of you, and will make sure you're making the right decisions with everything audio related. This type of place is a real gem and I couldn't possibly recommend them more. They helped me make the decision on a turntable and then took me step by step through how to install it, but also helped me get a new speaker system and then saved me quite a bit of money along the way.
