HIDE Studio Interiors — Attraction in Carlsbad

This is a follow up on Crystal B review. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the handling of Mr. and Mrs. B project. As a professional Interior Designer with 25 yrs of experience in the industry. I have never encountered such a level of unprofessionalism, as I did upon reviewing the correspondence emails pertaining to their project. The Interior Design community is a close-knit one, and we take immense pride in severing our clients with dedication and respect. It was disheartening to see the lack of follow-through on your part, which led to significant distress for a lovely family. The manner in which their situation was managed, including refusal to issue refunds and still Conti to charge, and taken it out of their credit. Hide Studios caused them a GREAT deal of unnecessary stress. Furthermore, I understand that mediation was denied despite its inclusion in your contract. (you're a thief ) Mr. & Mrs. B invested a substantial amount of money into your services, only to receive an experience that starkly contrasts the professionalism and care they deserved. It is disheartening to witness how individuals who are genuinely loving and caring were treated in this matter.

Mrs. Hide. Let's talk about "one of the issues" The sofa. Do you know how many sofas I have sold? Thousands. When a manufacture noted on the "Tear sheet" the dims , that is what the client is expecting to receive. You completely ignored the mistake the manufacture made and denied them of a refund. / Leading to having to buy another sofa at another $5000.00 .NO manufacture lists dims to the top of the cushions. It is measured from floor to top of the backrest. Let's talk about the window treatment fabric and hardware. They never received and never refunded. Is it siting in your back warehouse somewhere?

We moved into our house a few years ago knowing that we would want to change almost everything about how it looked on the inside. After finding HIDE Studios on Instagram and falling in love with their work, my husband and I agreed that they would be great to help us out. We had already remodeled most of the downstairs so we worked with HIDE to help us choose finishings such as light fixtures, rugs, and console tables to complete the look we wanted to achieve but couldn't figure out on our own. One of my favorite things about working with Dominique and Hanin was their willingness to listen to my main concerns- I have kids and pets and wanted to make sure that our investment would last. Dominique was very thoughtful about choosing rugs that would stand up to our household and are easy to clean, thank goodness. She pulled our house together so that we have the relaxed beachy feel we were going for but in a much more elevated way than we could have figured out on our own. She also chose the colors and materials for our laundry room which looks amazing now and I actually want to spend all of my time in that room, hah! I originally hired Hanin Smith to help me through a remodel I had just kicked off - pick out paint colors, tile and decor (furniture and additional styling elements). After a few meetings I quickly realized that I will never do another remodel or update without including Hanin in the process! Not only is she an amazing human to begin with but her ability to understand and show me my style - when I couldn't articulate it - was incredible! She helped me space plan the various areas of our house to create fully usable space - incorporating existing furniture with new pieces making the rooms coherent. She never pressured me to spend more than I felt comfortable and was fantastic at mixing high end/customized items where it made sense with less expensive ones to make the whole space come together. Hanin understood my need for practicality in every room - I have three young kids and needed to constantly balance "it looks great" with "my kids won't ruin it" and she 100% nailed it. I couldn't be happier with how my home turned out and have already started recommending Hanin to friends! She didn't just decorate my house - Hanin turned it into a home that genuinely sparks joy around every corner! I'd hire her again...
