Definitely should have looked at reviews prior to ordering online.
I went online and ordered a smoked ham and Swiss cheese sandwich 26th Lay's Kettle Chips and a coke. I also ordered an enchilada soup with half a turkey sandwich with Lay's Kettle chips and a dragonfruit Arnold palmer.
I waited inside and the guy asked me if u was waiting an online order while helping the customers. Tight that was cool of him siince I didn't mind waiting.
The place had a dark ambiance but the furniture was nice. Where i waited, the table was dirty. I noticed they pick up your plates here since i didn't see any trash cans. They use real silverware. And it's nice that they have an outside seating area.
He gave me my ordered and before leaving i went to grab spoons, napkins, and condiments. In my search, there were no utensils to take. I got the coke by myself. I figured they had to put napkins and a spoon in the bag because it was an online order for pick up.
I get inside my car and drive to the dealership. I'm starving and I'm waiting for my mom to come. She gets undue the car and I open the bag and there are no spoons. I didn't grab a spoon when I was there because I didn't see any available. The turkey sandwich was good though. But lo and behold, I'm missing a second bag of chips. Why is this order almost $40 & wrong??
My mom gave me her chips and I munched on them while drinking my Arnold palmer. The drink was great.
I'm assuming that the ham and Swiss wasn't that good since she took 2 bites and told me to give it to my dog.
This was my first time cooking and will be my last. I eat Corner Bakery often enough through catering from La JJolla at work and I guess that's the only way it'll be truly decent.
Quite disappointed in this in...

We absolutely love their food. This is the location closest to us so we often make the 40 minute drive just to get some great food at a greater price. Our most recent visit, however, won’t have me coming back to this location.
When picking up our food, we noticed one of our items was incorrect. When I brought it to the attention of the server, she informed me that the item I ordered was no longer on the menu. Upon checking out receipt, a different menu item was charged (simple mistake, no big deal). However, when I asked for a different item, I was surprised to see that they brought me a half size instead of the full size I ordered. They then proceed to charge me for the ‘difference in price’ by charging me for an entirely different item all together so I could get the other half of the meal, rather than charging the actual difference for the item. When I later reviewed pricing, it should have been the same cost. We were very surprised upon arriving as there were no other patrons in the establishment, but based on the poor customer service and lack of empathy, I’m no longer surprised as to why. I don’t expect anything for free, and mistakes happen so it’s nothing bad, but a simple apology and communication goes a long way, and this location did not provide either. Sorry to say that we do not plan on returning to...
Read moreVery good breakfast food and hot coffee options. I love their pancakes so much we are coming back today for breakfast and came here yesterday. I thought their brewed hazelnut cream coffee was the best and the pancakes have that slight sour taste that is so unique and makes them so fluffy and soft and just so yummy that almost nobody uses anymore. But these pancakes are what I have been searching for, for so many years. It is that unique taste I loved as a kid. I am 46 yrs old.
My wife and I came back for breakfast the next day and it was good and decided to try lunch. This is when it all went downhill. The guy couldn't understand that my change was $1 short and after that, the sandwich came out with overly toasted bread that was SO hard it was unedible and he asked if there was a problem and we said yea does your bread toasted normally come out this hard and tapped on it. He said because it is on a baguette. This shows poor service and lying to people as if you know what you're talking about seems to be a norm for businesses. That is ok because they don't need our business. Especially for anything other than breakfast but it sucks to bring my wife on our honeymoon to san diego, where I grew up and things just suck. Oh well. Oh and don't expect any hot coffee options except one type of coffee. In the pictures you will see all the coffees put away except just one. The hazelnut cream was...
