See's Candies Volume Savings — Attraction in Carlsbad

Not the best experience... Wasn't bad but I was not happy with the customer service and the signage on how much the candies cost or the rules they had in place for discounts. Their policy is a reduced price for military or government employees and they need to see your ID. I said that I would go get my ID from the car and we'd come back and get some candy at the discount price. Got all our items together and went to pay with our gift cards. They told us that the discounts were not good with a gift card. Left the candy on the counter told them I'd be back, which was not true. The only thing required would have been a friendly reminder that gift cards cannot be used for the discounts "Next Time." Would have left a happy customer now I vow not to return. Who can resist the best chocolate in the state??? I can never leave See's Candies without buying their Lollipops or the "Little Pops"...or both! My favorites are the Butterscotch and Chocolate flavors and there even a Sugar Free option. They have a creamy taste but are hard candy. great for your purse, backpack, car or office stash...especially when you just have a taste for something sweet. If you like peanut brittle, theirs has a delicious buttery flavor.

This is a nice candy store with a lot options. Nearly all the candy we found was in boxes of various candy types and amounts. When we went, all the boxed candy was wrapped in Christmas paper and was readily available under the images that showed what was in each selection.

Once you make a selection, there are two counters where you can pay. Upon payment, the cashier gives you two pieces of sample candy to take with you.

Entrance during the pandemic is limit to only a few people at a time. The time we were there, only three other customers were in the store. Wearing a mask is required for entry and the entrance has an employee controlling when it is safe to enter.
