Unsafe and DANGEROUS!
Oh wow!!!! A horrible and unsafe experience. Red flags from the beginning. We arrived about a hour early. I spoke with the young lady in the office and she advised me that the tour was completely safe and there are four guides on each tour. I asked about safety because we had our teenage children who would be riding with us as passengers.
Well, a tour of 10 were returning from their ride. As the group was coming back to the dock, we noticed that one of the jet skies was being pulled back to dock and the riders were on back of the tour guides skies.
By our account there were exactly 10 jet skies and each tour was fully booked. So, we wondered how would that work out. Nevertheless, there was another jet ski that wasn’t operating properly as well. So, after the previous group docket and left, the guides were working on the broken down skies. They completely took one out of commission and worked on the other.
This is where our nightmare begins.....my daughter and young adult niece were on the ski when the handlebar hood flew up causing the steering wheel to malfunction and inoperable. My niece, who is very experienced with driving jet skies, had no control and unable to steer causing them to fly into a little wooded island. Thankfully, neither of them was seriously injured....some small cuts and bruises. There was no guide insight! My sister who was close by saw the accident and went to flag down the guide who was in the front of the group.
There were only 2 guides out in the water with the group, not the 4 that I was initially told. So, one of the guides brought my niece and daughter back to the dock, my sister also returned.
Needless to say, they immediately blamed the accident on my niece saying that she crashed. They totally ignored the fact that others who witnessed the accident saw the cover over the handle bars fly off into my niece and daughters face.
The tool no responsibility. We took pictures of the ski jet, mind you there was NO DAMAGE to the body of the jet ski.....only damage was to the hood that covers the handle bars.
We pointed that out to the owner Robert, who refused to give us a refund. After we demanded that he come see what happen and told him we had pictures he finally agreed to refund us our money. He told us to get off his property and hung up the phone.
I asked for inspection/maintenance records and they quickly stalled. I asked why was that jet ski allowed into the water if it wasn’t properly working and why was there not enough tour guides out with the group. The lady said “we had 2 and not the four because they had to give up their jet skies to passengers since we had a couple break down on the last tour”. We anted to make sure everyone who paid was able to ride. So she basically said, we sacrifice safety for profit!
Please know this company does not care about your safety. The equipment is unsafe and not properly maintained. Thank God my family was not...

Review:
I’ve been coming to Puerto Rico every year for the past 10 years, and this was by far the worst and most disrespectful experience I’ve ever had.
My husband and I (168 lbs and 190 lbs) went to Ocean Pro Adventure to rent a Yamaha jet ski. We were told we couldn’t ride together because of a “350-pound weight limit.” That’s completely false—Yamaha jet skis have a manufacturer weight capacity of 500–600 lbs, depending on the model. We were well within that range.
Then we watched an Hispanic couple—visibly heavier than us—allowed to ride together without being weighed or questioned. When we asked about it, the young lady told us, “They signed online and you’re walk-ins.”
So let me get this straight: If two people weigh 500 lbs EACH but book online, that’s okay? But a Black couple walks in under 400 lbs combined, and we’re denied? That makes no sense. This isn’t about safety—it’s discrimination and a money grab.
The same young lady who told us that said her name was “Kashla”—but based on everything else being shady, dishonest, and inconsistent, who knows if that was even her real name.
On top of all that, they tried to charge us $100 per person, clearly trying to get more money out of our group with no valid reason or breakdown.
We were: • Told a fake weight limit of 350 lbs • Singled out for being walk-ins • Discriminated against as a Black couple • Targeted for overcharging at $100 per person • Given possibly fake names and false information
This entire experience felt like a scam mixed with racial profiling. I’ve attached a photo as evidence and will be reporting Ocean Pro Adventure to: • The Puerto Rico Tourism Company • DAPR (Puerto Rico Consumer Affairs) • TripAdvisor, Google, Yelp, and more

Read moreJet-skiing with Ocean Pro Adventure was a blast! From start to finish the trip was great! The girl in the check-in office was friendly and polite. Sorry I didn’t catch her name. My family included four of us; my husband, my teenage daughters, and myself. We rode as doubles, which was no problem, as the girls were too young to drive their own. Kevin gave us each a life vest, each equipped with a safety whistle, just in case. He then got us situated on our machines and introduced us to the controls. I told him, I was a little nervous because I was never the driver on one, only a passenger. He assured me, I would be fine. Once we did get started, I was comfortable. When the whole group (10-12 jet-skis) was ready, the head guide, Eddie M. gave another introduction to the controls, controlling speed through certain parts of the trip, and more safety issues, reminding everyone multiple times, “you do not have brakes or reverse, please keep a safe distance from the machine in front of you!” This was important because the trip stops twice, once to take pics of each party and then again to hop off and take a dip if you want. You get the pics immediately when the ride finishes. Eddie led us away from the dock, through the canals and mangroves, out to the bay and back again, then out to the ocean. There was also another guide, Alexis, who followed the last of the group, to make sure no one was left behind and rode up beside us, to speed up if we were stagging. This was truly an awesome experience! We honestly would have done it again, if it wasn’t such a big chunk of change.. : ) Thank you Eddie,...
