From the moment we stepped into Hipi Cache, we were transported straight to the vibrant shores of Puerto Rico! The warm and welcoming service immediately stood out. Our server was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to guide us through the menu, making excellent recommendations. We started with the fresh oysters, which tasted like they had just been plucked from the ocean – briny, succulent, and utterly delightful. The octopus was another highlight; perfectly tender with a fantastic texture and flavorful seasoning that spoke to authentic Puerto Rican culinary traditions. For our main courses, the red snapper was very fresh and tasty. Cooked to perfection, the fish was flaky and moist, showcasing the natural sweetness of the fresh catch. And the chicharrones? Absolutely addictive! Crispy, savory, and the perfect satisfying crunch. To top it all off, the fresh coconut water was the ideal refreshing accompaniment, a pure taste of the tropics. Took almost an hour to get our drinks. Food was decent but overshadowed by our waitress charging us incorrectly for stuffed snapper. She started out charging us 54.95 each which clearly on the menu says with lobster. We did not get lobster.

We had a bilingual hispanic person with us so there was no excuse for the ' miscommunication ' for what we ordered. Then she came back and adjusted the bill to the snapper with butter, garlic or sauce. We had snapper fried. Then after additional discusión she says it was según tamaño meaning according to size. We were not asked what size fish or seafood. The seafood was ceviche or some form of octopus with pickled fish and one shrimp.

No excuse for lies and decepción. We bought a large ticket and drinks and tip well. We still tipped but still were overcharged at 43 dollars. Smh no excuse for this. Will NOT be back and we have a large group with us along with local friends.

Additional: all other food was fair. Not sure why or how they are rated higher than the surrounding places with these types of problems. I now see others who experiencia the same. Hindsight...read the negativo...

My family and I stopped there for dinner on Oct 5 2024. The food was amazing and the service we received by our young waiter was good but never again will I eat there again. That place will never receive my money again. Two people in my party was quoted the wrong price for their food which they specifically asked about before ordering. When the bill came they explained that the price was wrong. When the waiter went to talk to the manager about correcting the bill he said no and did not acknowledge us not once. We paid the bill but one person decided to go talk to the manager to let him know that he could have at least came over to acknowledge us and the situation. Instead he sat there, listened to everything she said then said no habla ingles when he fully speaks English. Also all at the same time not even looking at us. It was pure disgusting.
