We arrived and parking was a challenge but we finally found a spot. We sat and I had to go and ask if someone was going to attend to us at the table or if we needed to order somewhere else. A person said we will send someone to your table. 5 minutes later the server finally arrived. Took our order and then came back 3 separate times because he forgot to ask about the compliment. Everyone's drinks except 2 did not get to the table. We had 3 separate tickets for 8 people and after 20 minutes one plate came out and i was given the excise that it was taking longer because there were separate tickets, but two of the plates on the ticket in which the food had been already delivered were still not out. And to make it worst the plate that was delivered was made incorrectly. Finally after 26 minutes we all were able to get our plates although we did not eat together we all ate dinner. I have to admit the flavor of everything was very good. The only complaint is the churrasco which tasted like it was reheated in a microwave and full of oil to keep it soft but it did not work, it tasted like a rubber tire. The place is advertised for selling alcapurrias the Carne and jueyes which we were dying to eat and unfortunately they did not have ANY and this was at 7:00pm. I will not...
Read moreRecently went to Mi Casita for dinner with the family and what a disappointment. The disappointment was not the food. The food was amazing but the staff was terrible. The staff consisted of about 5 young men. When we arrived then server handed us menues and then never came back to take our order. It was so bad that we asked should we go to the counter to order our food. Now the waiting game begins. While we waited for our food order to arrive, a glance around the room you can see other customers waiting for their orders to be taken but no staff member ever approached them. All I observed was the servers sitting on a wall texting and watching videos on their phones. What this place needs is for the owner being present and watching over his business. There is no way if these young men worked at another restaurant would that be tolerated. To the owner of this establishment, every time we come to the island we visit your restaurant. Your food is amazing but your staff does not respect your establishment. If your can not be present please hire a general manager to run...
Read moreWe had a pleasant outdoor dining experience at Mi Casita in Puerto Rico in the Pinones section of San Juan right near the water. After a beach day, what better way to relax and eat than to enjoy some seafood varieties on the boardwalk? I had the Asopao de Camarones which was delicious for $15. There were 9 giant shrimps inn a tasty soup with rice. All dishes come with either cassava, fries, bifongo, trifongo, arenas or rice and beans. My friend had the huge fried pork chunks, tostones and a salad which she liked for $10. My other friend had sauteed fish with garlic sauce and Morongo for $13. It was all tasty and delicious and it's hard to please all 3 women at one dinner! Well we went back again the next day to take our Canadian friends and they loved it. I ordered the pulp octopus. I ordered it half cooked and half in salad form. My Vancouver friend had the chicken grilled in thin slices to perfection, my other lady had the conch which she was pleased with and another the mixed seafood plate. All delicious and...
