Oak Hills Splash Park — Attraction in Carrollton

Loved this splash pad. Most of the older kids were very friendly to my almost 2 year old.

The exception was some older woman (probably with her grandkids), who thought it was appropriate to lecture the young mothers out there about safety and where younger kids should play - on one of the water features that wasn’t even working (none of the children were injured for the hour we were there). She even told one of the moms to get out of the water. Seriously, Karen? If we want your input, we’ll ask for it. Please don’t take out your failed attempts of being a parent out on anyone else. In this day and age, it’s pretty frickin’ bold of you to think you should have any say-so about other people’s kids. GET ON. BYE.

Today is beautiful day weather is great. This is a really great park. Its always very clean. There is a pavilion if you want to have a kids party or just bring the kids and sit under but its first come first serve bases. Theres a splash water area also which is really great for the little ones. Benches are all over and grills throughout 3 or more. They also have a nice circular walking trail around the park if you just want to walk, skate or bike around the surface is flat also for those like me which make good place for beginners skating. We met some friends here today from about 1:30 to about 3:30. It was extremely crowded. That usually doesn't bother us, but there were several parents putting their small children into the splash area at the bottom of each slide. These same parents would yell at bigger kids coming down the slides if they accidentally knocked into the smaller children. What did they expect? The smaller children should not be playing at the bottoms of the slides! Those are NOT wading pools for small kids! They are splash pools for the kids coming down the slides! Very rude and...
