On 4/23/24- I placed an order online that was delivered to the wrong address. I called the moment it showed delivered. I waited on hold for 20 min while someone cotacted dispatch to contract the driver to verify it had been delivered to the wrong address. I was eventually told was told that I would receive a refund.
TODAY I was CHARGED more that the initial order. I spoke to a representative on the phone who was supposed to get me a supervisor, but instead hung up on me. I then spoke to some via chat who states it was done, but I would have to wait 7-10 business days to get my money back. I asked why I was charged more and they said because my order was processed on the day the sales ended, but you had already held a pending transaction for the amount of the order and I ordered BEFORE the coupons expired.
So, I called back and got a "supervisor" Katie. To be fair to her, she was calm and pleasant...she handled herself well considering I am LIVID. (She should really get an incentive. I would hire her in a heartbeat if she worked in accounting. I need a Katie) She explained, but I could tell she's well trained to stick to the de-escalation script. She still could not explain how I had already received the refund for canceling their "boost" service, but had not received my order refund, or whybI was still charged since the person should have canceled the order when I called on Tuesday.
Outcomes: Will NEVER order from Kroger again. I will, use my remaining fuel point. Their delivery service is giving mediocre. Always ask to speak to someone in the USA. You'd be better off ordering from HEB or Tom Thumb....BEFORE they solidify the merger. Screenshot attached. Always keep the receipts.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday I went to Kroger to buy a bag of potatoes and when I saw the sticker price , it said $2.59 but the self checkout scanner showed me a price of $2.99. i still went ahead and paid &2.99 but was curious enough to go back and see if i was charged it right. I went back and saw that it was $2.59 indeed. I took the picture of the display price and went back to the cashier and said that I am being charged wrong. The associate spent around 10 minutes going back and forth on her phone and the price still showed $2.99. She finally called the manager and the manager said to me, go and get the picture of the price and get back. Wow! Generally, they go and do the check and here they are asking the customer to go back and take the picture and show it to her. it was just a matter of 40 cents and I would have let it go. But, I just wanted to pay a fair price.
Finally, the manager said to give her sometime as she had to finish some work. I again waited for the next 7-10 mins and finally she was free. She asked me to come with her and show her the price. Really! She should have done by herself or believed the customer for 40 cents. On top of it, she kept on showing her disappointment on me. I wasnāt begging over there for money. My experience was really bad in this store. I hope the management takes a lot of this and provide adequate training to...

I'm a frequent shopper at Kroger, though it's only my second time visiting the Carrollton location, and while most of the time I was happy with the service, I can't say the same for today. My cashier's name was Nickie, or at least that's what it said on my receipt, was an oversized middle aged Caucasian male, and wearing a purple jersey today. When it was my turn to checkout, he purposely ignored me and turned to a lady behind me to greet her (mind you I was right in front of him). The whole checkout process was awkward as he had not once made eye contact or ask if I was finding everyone ok; then he just simply handed me my receipt without saying the typical things that you'd hear after being checked out. As I was retrieving my things and walking away, i overheard him making conversation with the same lady asking her how she was doing and if she found everything ok. I'm not sure if he was having a bad day or it was because of the fact that I wasn't Caucasian like he was that made him treat me the way he did, but one thing for sure this kind of attitude won't get him anywhere and that I won't be visiting this...
