WHERE DO I EVEN START!!! Oh my lanta I'm still speechless. We went to the Chinese Lantern Festival and it was spectacular!! I can't wait to go again. We had the wonton soup, the spicy Korean chicken sandwich, the egg rolls and I can't say 1 bad thing about any of the food it was all fantastic. The sandwich was our ultimate favorite. The entertainment was mind blowing and elegant we got front row and it didn't disappoint!!! The lanterns especially the large dragon ship was unbelievable on the sheer size of it, The ramen bowl was my favorite. We also loved searching for our Chinese zodiac years and reading all the info stands next to the lanterns. My 2 younger kids loved the interactive portion of the swings, seesaws, and light up dance stars. My 2 older kids love the Chinese culture and have started learning Mandarin. This festival really inspired them to continue learning more. We can't wait to go next year!! This will definitely be a family tradition. We even got a lantern to take home with us. I am so happy we went after 2 failed attempts due to not buying tickets early enough we weren't able to go but the third time was a charm and it was definitely worth it. If you're on the fence about going don't think about it buy the tickets and thank me later.

We attended the Chinese lantern festival. This was absolutely beautiful and worth every penny, wait, and frustration. What I mean by that is don't come right when it opens. Wait until about 8:30pm, it closes at 10:00 you will have plenty of time to view everything and enjoy it leisurely. If you go before then prepare yourself for: 1/2 hour to 45 minutes bumper to bumper getting off the highway into the parking area. Finding parking in an unguided area by personnel Walking a lengthy bit to get to the entrance Waiting in an extremely long line to enter with personnel not really knowing how to guide people. (Who bought tickets already and who didn't) Do bring any bags, purses, of any kind then you can easy go thru metal detectors and finally begin the fun. If you are in a wheelchair or have any handicap use caution. It is hilly and not easy to navigate thru heavy crowd in certain areas. It was extremely difficult to get a drink. Lines were long. However when we were leaving @ 8:30pm everything cleared out. It would have been the perfect time to come. No wait to get it. Parking up close. The laterns themselves are absolutely a marvel and must see.

We really loved the Chinese Latern Festival exhibit. We chose to purchase specific date tickets and added the preferred parking. It's so worth it. Just remember to read their rules about bag sizes, they wont let you pass unless they measure it. After that, you go through security. The first exhibit is all the lanterns over your head. we absolutely loved this one! Then their are so many more. You will see plenty of vendors selling all types of things, from food to just about anything. In the middle area, because the exhibit is set up in a giant circle, it has a play area for kids. You will see light up, see saws, light up swings, and some interactive things to do. There you will also see a stage and they do shows every hour I believe. I'm not really sure.... we caught one and watched most of it. It was really entertaining. Overall, if you don't stop to buy anything, you can see the whole exhibit in 45 minutes. If you stop to watch the show, then add another 30.

We came for the Chinese Lantern Festival on a Saturday. We waited in line for about 10 mins as we arrived before 6pm when the gates open, unless you purchase the twilight tickets. When I called to inquire about our adventure, as we were driving from 2 hours away, I was told to purchase tickets online as there was not a guarantee we would get in if they filled up from people who pre purchased. The tickets online were advertised as $21, but once all fees and taxes were applied they were $34 each. There was way too many people allowed in to the point it was overcrowded. We were not able to really enjoy the swings or interactive things as kids ran freely and there were lines. It was just enough to grab a photo. It was truly overwhelming. The small part you could walk through was filled with many lanterns all lit up and beautiful but was a short walk through. We were able to catch the performance which was held at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30. Overall it was an experience.
