If I have to post any review either I should have a best experience or worst experience. I had a series of worst incidents happened.
Walked in at 7:45pm, there was no waiting time. Requested for a booth the waiter said it may take few minutes we said OK and waiting at the reception area he told us to wait outside even though it’s so cold out there. This is the first triggering point. I wanted to walk out but the waiter changed his mind and asked us to wait at the bar. Thought fair enough. Decided to stay.
Tried to get couple drinks and walked to the at attender and asked for drinks. He said you may sit at your seats will come and get you while waiting for the table. Few minutes later he came to us and said you can’t get the booth as that section closes at 8pm for cleaning. An hour before closing. This is second triggering point.
3I never walked I been to a restaurant who closes sections at least an hour before. On top of that no respect in his voice. I said I want to talk to the manger. He said he is the manager. Surprised how a manger can talk like that with customers. I said I may have to share my expense on Google. He said you do whatever you like. This is third triggering point.
Still decided to stay try to calm down and try the food as there are 820 plus reviews already. He made us sit at a table looks like a booth but it has bench seat and chairs. I don’t know how he became a manger. This is fourth triggering point
Finally sat at our table met our waitress Golf and ordered food. I have to be honest and she is nice and out of all the food we ordered Caribbean Breeze drink and Kani Avocado are delicious. But the Thai Basil chicken fried rice has slightly poultry smell.
If you are OK when you walk-in in at 7:45 pm with this kind of treatment, and staff are in a rush to close by 9pm with mopping and cleaning in front of you then feel free to visit...
Read moreThe restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the food was good. However, the server we had did not seem welcoming and appeared unwilling, to assist when we asked questions. I even approached someone, because after the appetizer were serve, she just disappear without telling us anything. Then she came back to us, appeared irritated as it shows with her facial expression. I felt embarrassed of the place I brought my birthday guest because of her attitude. If I did not approach her colleague, we will be waiting of when are we gonna place our orders. Ordering and prep/cook time takes too long by the way. This made the experience less enjoyable on my birthday.I hope management can work on improving customer service so guests feel more comfortable returning. This lady don't even know how to smile. If she smile, it's like forced and not genuine to serve. I just forgot to get her name. She has an attitude that is not acceptable as a server. I acknowledged that there job might be overwhelming at time. But hopefully, a simple smile and at least guide us what's next so that we will not wonder when can we start ordering. By the way, she did not ask me if do we still need to wait for our friend or just proceed ordering. She just assumed without asking us. So the waiting time there were long, before I noticed that no one is telling us what to do next, can we start ordering?Because everyone were already hungry and appetizer were finished already. At least after serving appetizer, she could have come back and verify if we should wait or just start ordering. She needs to improve her customer service skills and lastly, she has to treat all her customers equally, and not selective for her willingness to serve. Just because were asian, she has to treat us like that. I noticed she treat the locals well, which is also disappointing. Not a happy birthday indeed! That day will be my first and last in...
Read moreI had to give 0 stars for this place…I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Wasabi. My family/friends and I, including our friends twin babies who are 1 yr old, went there for what we hoped would be a pleasant meal, but it turned out to be anything but.
First, the service was slow and inattentive. It took ages for our order to be taken, and when the food finally arrived, it was mediocre at best—lukewarm, and oily. But the real issue came when a staff member approached us to tell us to keep our baby quiet for the sake of “other customers.”( FYI.. we are trying very hard to console the baby..)
I was absolutely appalled. Babies make noise; that’s what they do. Instead of showing understanding or offering a family-friendly approach, they made us feel unwelcome and judged. This completely ruined our meal and left us feeling humiliated in a place that should have been accommodating to families.
The atmosphere was already tense, with cramped seating, so the irony of asking us to “lower the noise” was not lost on me. On top of that, the staff’s lack of empathy made it clear they do not value customers with young children.
I will not be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend Wasabi to anyone, especially families with kids. If you’re looking for a place that values kindness and hospitality, this is not it.
We wanted to mention the name of the person who is rude but they refused to reveal the name. Also please put a sign in front of your restaurant saying babies are not allowed instead of humiliating the parents with your...
