Wirz Park — Attraction in Casselberry

I loved it here ! My sisters and I held a back to school bash for the kids in the area and this park was great. There was plenty of space and things to do. The pool was 2$ per person for entry which was understandable because of park maintenance. The only critique I really have it that the life guards were on their phone in this little room where the 2$ are paid with friends and not paying as much attention as they could've to the kids. Wirz Pool is great - small, great local spot to cool off - nothing fancy, but clean, and staff are professional and welcoming. I always meet someone new from around the neighborhood, as it’s mostly a local secret. They also do classes in the small community center, and swim lessons during the summer. The new pool is very nice, i guess all of the grassy areas are ok. But was it really necessary to eliminate all 3 baseball fields and cut the basketballcourt in half??? That was one thing that my kids loved. I would come home from work and we would go hit a few balls, maybe basketball. And did we really need to quadruple the parking lot size?
