We love fondue. We have never been to this location, but we saw on an Instagram reel about the Halloween decor that they bring on during this time of year. We thought how fun and we took the long drive to check it out. The decor is great. It’s so fun to look at. Now let’s go to service. I will have to say maybe I’m just used to the melting pot, but the servers here are a little bit more on the abrupt and at times on the ruder side. This was not just my server, but also the server next to us. Our server was actually probably one of the most offputting servers in how he spoke to us the whole time that I’ve had in a while at any restaurant.
Now let’s talk about sanitation and safety. Everything was good quality. But they seem to give you one fondue fork for everything. Raw Shrimp, chicken, and beef mixed with cooked potato, and ravioli. After we had used our two cheeses we had ordered. Our server came over and said oh that’s still hot and told my daughter to give him her napkin she was using so he could move it and put it on the side of me and told me not to touch it. After he handled her napkin that he had used it on the pot and held in his hand, he tossed it back at her to use.
They left an open flame just blazing with nothing on it as they went in the back. He described nothing that was in the boiling pot, or what to do with it in conjunction with hot rock even though we’d never been there and he knew it.
He forgot the sauces and when I asked for them from another person put server brought them and said look I was making them. But we were already like well into eating our proteins at this point.
When I asked a food runner if I could have to go containers for my cheeses he said I don’t know. I’m not sure. I said I’m pretty sure it’s not an all you can eat buffet and I paid for it. He said well let me go find out then. It was just weird.
I noticed our server never swapped out our hot stones, but the table next to us had their stones swapped out and after a while ours got cooler and was not cooking the meat very quickly. He didn’t offer drink refills. I had to ask. Even though they sat there empty.
We ended up getting our dessert to go. I can’t tell you how that is yet but I’m sure it’s great because it’s peanut butter and chocolate.
Now the food: we got the Extreme four course with an extra cheese.
The blood orange salad and the mountain mix salad were delicious. We liked both the Cheddar fondue and the Munster Mash Cheese fondue. The chips they serve were stale, but everything else was good. I would’ve asked for more bread, but he didn’t come back for a bit. We asked to take our veggies home, but he threw them away.
For the proteins we got: filet minion (was our favorite), pacific chicken (decent on the drier side), shrimp , and a double of the short rib bulgogi instead of a scallop (the marinade wasn’t bad. It wasn’t my favorite the quality of the beef that was good). Once we finally got our sauces, it definitely helped. It’s no green goddess dressing at the melting pot, but they all did a nice job. Believe it or not the mustard is quite delicious.
The pricing however is way better than the melting pot. Usually this type of meal would cost us over $200 before tip. This one was $125 I believe. I still did leave a little over 20% because they do have to handle some hot items. The food was decent. The ambience was great. He’s not the worst server I ever had, but I would definitely never request him as he stated I could.
I believe I would come back. Now that I know things that I like and how I like them and I would definitely ask for...

Reservations are highly recommended.
There were three in our party, and the portions were more than generous. We’re leaving with leftovers! From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. The meal was absolutely delicious, from my favorite Southwest salad to the 4 corners cheese fondue for dipping and the options to dip into it with (every time we ask, they offer additional without an extra charge, tonight we were obsessed with brocolli), the flavorful meats, and the dark chocolate fondue dessert. What truly sets Colorado Fondue apart is the consistency in their quality and the genuine care they show their customers. Every visit reflects their strong commitment to ethics and exceptional service. Highly recommend!

decided to post because of someone’s negative, and unfair rating.
Yes, all of us are being hit hard by inflation. Dining at Colorado Fondue is a treat for my family especially with my single mother teacher salary. My youngest, just now, after eating our leftovers talked about going again soon and I had to explain that to her.
I went with 2 teenagers, and an 8 year old. We ordered two experts, and two beginners between the 4 of us because we knew it would be so much food with the 4 courses. We wanted that 4th course of chocolate fondue.
Between us we had 3 salads, and a soup for our starter, but my favorite of that round is their garlic bread. I always ask for extra when the cheese comes out.
This is a fondue restaurant so definitely be expected to cook for yourself.
We had 2 cheese fondues: The Four Corner and the Fontina Tuscany. We ate all of the Fontina and had about half of The Four Corners leftover. We took it all home. Yes, they give you “pieces” of apple, but this makes it dip able. We had SO much of the accompaniments left over but we have been made aware at previous visits that we can always ask for more if needed.
The meats came out, and even though we only ordered 2 portions … we brought home so much extra, about 4 oz of steak and chicken was leftover, as well as 4 pieces of shrimp. The shrimp was so tasty the next day! There was so much of mixed veggies leftover, too.
We were stuffed, and out comes our two chocolate fondues: I ordered dark chocolate with Kahlua and the girls ordered a mudslide with milk chocolate fondue. We ended up having one whole fondue left and plenty of yummies to bring home. We also asked for extras of our favorites: strawberries, bananas and rice krispies and the waitress was quick to accommodate.
Our bellies were beyond full, to the point of obscenely full.
Service was amazing, (I say this even after your waitress had an oops and spilled an entire cup of water on the table and myself) and as someone else mentioned your bus boy (is he also the host? He greeted us.) was on top of it.
All of that and my glass of wine cost $115. This was expected going in, and I had a lot of food for the value. Thank you CFC for maintaining quality and quantity despite the unreasonable rises...
Read moreIf you're looking for a lovely experience I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. GO HERE if you want great food, an awesome experience, and excellent service at a very nicely decorated and clean restaurant. If you're looking for anything less than that I'd suggest taking your money somewhere else because you'll be disappointed that THIS PLACE WILL EXCEED YOUR EXPECTATIONS. My girl loved it and I thought it was pretty good myself. Be prepared to cook your own meat on a piece a granite which is a pretty unique experience compared to a lot of other places where you cook your own food. I'm not going to bash this place because they haven't really given anyone a reason to do so. Now don't get me wrong the food was good but for $100 (that's with a good tip) for the 2 of us I sure could have eaten a lot more (I'm not saying enough food wasn't provided because that's not the case and I'll explain). I chose for us to go with the expert trail because it gives you the highest variety of meat selection. They'll give you extra sides and whatnot during the cheese/chocolate fondue portions to try to make sure you're full. You get a soup or salad selection before your meal and in addition they give you a like this veggie mix in what I'd assume is a beef broth kind of thing as well which was also very good. However, where they make their money is how they give you a very limited amount of meats. Unfortunately I'm mainly just a carnivore for the most part which is why I even added scallops to the already available chicken, shrimp, pork, and 2 kinds of steak given to you in the expert trail. The meats I'd assume are also well marinated and seasoned because they are quite tasty. They also have very good service so since it is only my personal preference as to why I wasn't as pleased with the experience myself I have no choice but to give...
