Super ecstatic this poke place didn't let me down since it's really close to home. Unlike a few poke chains that we know (Poke House, Poke Bowl), this place surprised me on all accounts -- food quality, food portion, and just as importantly, the service!
I've been here maybe 3-4 times since they opened not too long ago and despite each experience being positive, somehow they always find ways to make it better and better...
Although it's mostly about reviewing the food, I'd just like to point out first how top-notch the service here really is. So friendly and so generous with each of the toppings. The tall Asian guy especially has always been happy and friendly.
They are generous with the tiny scoopers that is normally used at Poke places like these, and even more liberal when they get to filling it up with whatever toppings you want. My bowl pretty much is filled to the top by the time I get to the registers. Many Poke places will fill it up when they first open and give you less and less as they settle down, so I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed that even at my latest visit that it was still a very indulgent portion.
The fish tasted pretty fresh -- Although not a fish expert or anything... I think I would notice if the fish was bad. Great sauces available as most poke places do... They added mangoes! How about some hot Cheetos/Funions now? :P
The atmosphere cute and cozy, black and purple themed with a pretty tree made with fluorescent purple lights on the wall, and plenty of seating for dining in.
5/5 -- Easily one of my favorite...
Read morePoki Poke has big bowls for a decent price. I like to imagine that I can come here after the gym or for lunch for a guilt-free meal but I think the size and sauces need to be considered if you're looking for a healthier meal. However this is still one of the better Poke places that I've tried ever since this new trend started popping up. What puts this over the top is the generous servings and the availability of toppings. They have mango and seaweed salad as a free topping and their crab salad and guacamole are the only premium toppings. Other places I've been to would charge for seaweed salad or have pineapple instead of mango but I prefer the options here. They also have unagi sauce as an option which is a big plus. (Disclaimer I've only tried like 3...
Read moreYummy!!! If you love sushi but dont need it wrapped up pretty (labor intensive = expensive) then come here!!! I had yellow tail and samon with brown rice and tobiko and lovely toppings like green onion, toasted garlic and onion and more. You choose your own individual thing. Many choices of not gross greasy oily dressings but yummy fresh healthy ones. I did a sweet seseme and then a miso. I could have one or two so I went for the two. So yuuuummmy and great price for what you are getting. Mine was 12 bucks and that included the bag of chips I splurged on. So reasonably priced and so fresh and delicious and healthy!!! Thank you Poki Poke please open one in...
