Outer West Community Church — Attraction in Castroville

This is such a great Church! Youth/junior high ministry is great. Our 11yr old son felt very welcomed his first time attending his age group service. My wife and I were not sure how our 1yr old baby would do in the nursery as she cried her eye balls out at other churches in the area we tried. Not to say those other churches are bad or anything but when we tried putting her in the nursery at Outerwest she loved it. It makes us happy to know she feels comfortable which gives mom and I both peace as we attend the main service. Hats off to all who serve in that area for sure. The children's ministry is awesome too. Our other child loves it so much as he looks forward to going every Sunday. Its awesome to see they have a lot going on for the kids. You definitely get a community vibe at Outerwest as well as having Pastor Allen and Pastor Dan as really great leaders from what we have experienced already being their for a short time. All to say! This church is very well structured and in order, pure bible based messages, making the gospel simple for all to understand as you grow in your relationship with God and...

When I first went to this church I noticed how warm and friendly everyone was. They made me feel like I wasn’t an outsider and that I was right at home. The second thing I noticed was the temperature of the sanctuary. I’ve been to churches that are far too cold and far too hot. But this church, this church was just right. I wasn’t sweaty and I wasn’t shivering either. One of the pastors there one time wore Air Michael Jordan’s on stage and I really appreciated that cause I felt like I could open up about my struggles. Some churches everyone’s wearing a suit and tie and it makes me want to retreat in my shell like a turtle. All in all this church is exactly what my wife and I were looking for and I’m so grateful a community of faith like this exists in my area. It’s also 5 min down the street from my house. I def recommend this church to everyone seeking fellowship and fun the in Alamo Ranch area!!...

I have to say that I have never been a part of church that loves the Lord as much as they do. I say that based on how much they make you feel included and cared for in the simplest ways. They genuinely care about people and provide ways to ensure that we all remain in community. OWCC is one I can truly call a home church, because we all know and do life together thanks to the community standards and love placed by its leadership. Those in leadership here care about our children more than any other I have seen and I have seen several. We are in a home that we do not intend to stay in for life, but this church is making that decision a hard one. If we move to a different home, we will be choosing one near OWCC. So thankful to the Lord for Pastor Allen Thomas and the culture they have built...
