Teriyaki Madness — Restaurant in Castroville

If I could give this location a zero i definitely would unfortunately 1 was the lowest that I could give. The owners wife is very rude and refused to honor the free bowl that was in my rewards app. She stated that they have only been open for 3 weeks and they can’t continue to give away free food. The free bowls that are in my app were sent from corporate and can be used at any Madness location with an expiration date of November 7th which makes them valid. Her attitude was very aggressive not to mention she made an entire scene in front of other customers which is completely inappropriate. I told her that I would be leaving a bad review after she displayed horrible behavior her response was “ Im not surprised b/c that’s what you people do” I can’t say I’m totally shocked by her comment especially after the behavior she displayed but it’s definitely disgusting. I just spoke to her husband Randy last week after doing an in store order we did some military talk being that we both come from a retired background he’s a very pleasant guy in addition to military talk we spoke about me passing on his info to my kiddos sports teams for catering which I did they was definitely considering their business for the upcoming seasons I passed the info along to my coworkers for their kids coaches as well but after seeing her behavior and disgusting attitude I don’t think so. She definitely should learn how to treat people from one business...

I went there for the first time at around 13:40 in the afternoon, there was only 1 couple there already eating and no one at the front and 3 individuals in the kitchen doing nothing just standing there talking out loud and giggling. I stood there for 10 mins and I said to them twice excuse me they looked at me and they just ignored me and continued with their little Chit Chat I stood for a little longer then when I was about to leave a gal walk up and asks me if I've been helped. I told her no and she took my order. I waited there for another 20 minutes for my order during my wait the cashier was on her cellphone leaning on the wall and sitting on the counter where they put your prepped food. I finally got my food and headed back home on my way home I can smell the food in my truck and it smelled burnt i got home I opened the steak bowl and you can see the burnt bits and pieces in the rice I tried it and it tasted burnt my friend open the sec bowl same thing burnt smell and you can see it on the white rice it was over cooked and you can taste it on the orange chicken. And im sorry orange chicken should taste like orange, not caramel, and it was dark brown over all it was a bad experience with the service and food quality and control. This was my third visit just today. First two times went great. Then today happened. Probably my fault for coming during rush hour, I can forgive some infractions, but today was something else. After ordering my food, I waited for over an HOUR before I got up and the server went to check on my order. She came to me earlier and asked what I ordered, and I simply repeated my order. Turns out the food was ready quite awhile ago sitting in the to-go cubby with no identifying receipt. When she came to me again about it she attempted to gaslight me saying she asked if my order was large or small, when in actuality I simply repeated what my order was. I left with luke warm food and now a soggy eggroll. Im not in the best of mood right now, I had high hopes for this place and was looking forward to bringing my family when they come visit over the holidays to try this place, now Im at an impasse and don't think ill be bringing my business anytime soon.
